I had a bad experience with this. I tried to book at a local restaurant, they said they were no longer part of the scheme..... I contacted G.S. who weren't at all apologetic, they just asked for more details and never got back to me. I kept chasing them and they never responded.
In the end I lost faith in them and asked for a refund. They are still advertising the restaurant who they no longer have an agreement with.

I don't think they had a very good attitude all in all. I was told rather tersely that they had contracts with each restaurant and took this 'very seriously' but never apologised, never got back to me so I just didn't have faith in trying other restaurants (especially as I'd got the card specifically for this local restaurant).
Just think they need to improve their customer service levels really!

    Found this:

another thing to note is that not all the restaurants allow you to use the card in the weekends or in the evenings i.e. saturdays, and some restaurants have restrictions to the number of times your allowed to use it in their establishment. Use code 12345 and go to members area on their webpage to see the offers they have before you consider getting the card.

Just an update - I was contacted by the Gourmet Society's Ops Mgr regarding my posts on this thread. He offered me a complimentary membership which I recently received.
Obviously I'm very pleased with this and will now stop slagging off their customer service levels!
