november holidays- where to go abroad with nice weather and plenty to do and see?

hi,

we are looking for a cheapish holiday in november and found some nice ones in the algarve and also madeira but apparently there is a fair bit of rain about then.

can anyone suggest somewhere with little or no rain which has plenty of sights and things to do nearby?

are the canary or balearic islands a better bet?

thankyou

    Canaries may suit.

The Canary Isles are the safest bet. You can never guarantee no rain, but we have been many times to Tenerife in November and had nice weather. Don't go to the north, it can be overcast and dull. Safest bet is the southern resorts.

We have just booked an apartment for two weeks and flights from East Midlands, total cost £530 for two. Each booked through the internet.

We have just booked for Cuba as like you wanted some sun in November, although not guaranteed we are hoping for sunny warm weather.

Closer to home I would suggest Lanzarote/Canary Islands

Turkey has very decent weather in November. We've been in both November and December. And there's lots of interesting things to see, depending where you stay. And it's cheaper than everywhere else suggested so far (once you are there - not necessarily to get there, although it can be on a package).

I agree with MarkyMark, but if it's a first time visit depending on the resort they may found a lot of shops and bars closed for the season. Busier places like Fethiye, Marmaris, Kusadasi might be ok. Have only been to Fethiye in winter though.
