It's aluminium and looks burned and blackened but otherwise solid and fit for use.. What's the best method of restoring it back to as normal as possible?0

Cook some rhubarb in it. You will be amazed how well it brings up an old burnt pan.Away with the fairies.... Back soon0

You can fill the pan with ordinary coke (to cover up to where it is burnt).Then bring to the boil whilst cleaning it with an abrasive cloth/scourer.The burnt bits come off very easily.HTH.0

Ive tried the rhubarb trick but try the Coke first (it also worked for me) its cheaper than rhubarb.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

I've managed to clean a burnt pan with bleach once, another time I mixed bleach with bicarb of soda left it on for a while and it cleaned off most of the burnt bits.:hello:

I`ve used the above method a couple of times with great results, highly recommended and only a quick polish needed afterwards when washing. No elbow grease
