So who decided who gets to be in the inner hexagon? Sorry but I don't like the sound of secret codes. If this thread is going to go that way then I'm not sure I'll be reading it anymore.

atm codes are being discussed. not necessarily secret ones. put some ideas in the pot?

Absolutely. Personally I have talked about other sites in the past but you know, you can't force others to join or leave (not that I want to) and even telling people what they don't want to hear is hard - that the site they have spent months cultivating is essentially cr*p and cheating people out of money by screaming BOT!!! or taking over 80% commission from outside survey sources. Let alone the newbies who have barely got to grips with SB who can't even fathom starting all over again elsewhere.

I think SB was designed only to be used as a fun-time money maker and not as a serious financial endevour, which is really why the cracks show for some of us but not for others.

However, it's not as if Swagbucks is 'free money' - the phrase I keep on hearing associated with it. We all work d*mn hard for what we get and we deserve it. If we can help each other with shortcuts like keeping glitches alive then I fully support it, whether it helps someone casually involved or deeply invested.

Totally agree, miwa. Swagbucks want to be the only GPT site people use. Their strategy is NOT to do this by being the best paid GPT site, but by trying to get people to feel a part of the community of "Swaggernauts" and to be loyal to the site.

They *could* be the most awesome GPT site there is. But their insistence on taking a huge commission on everything from offers to surveys to tasks means that they are not competitive at ALL for those things.

I mean, really, my time is valuable, and I am going to go where the bucks are (and they are usually not Swagbucks ;))

    * I am not going to do a TS on Swagbucks when I can do the same survey on iPoll for twice the cash.

    * I'm not going to do a DS on Swagbucks for 70SB (about 63 cents) when I can do the same survey on Neobux (on the TokenAds wall, under OpinionSurveys) for 85 cents to $1.44.

    * I am not going to do a casino task for 3.6 cents when the same task pays 8.8 cents on Neobux; or a Fisher task for 10.8 cents on Swagbucks vs. Neobux at 28.5 cents.

    * I am not going to do an offer on Swagbucks when it pays more on another site (unless the difference is small, and I am trying to make the daily goal on SB).

    Examples:

    * High 5 Casino offer on Swagbucks 15 cents (17SB... raised from 9 cents (10SB)) vs same offer on Neobux's Matomy wall for 27 to 45 cents (267 NeoCoins)

    * NOW TV offer on TrialPay at Swagbucks $4.64 (515SB) vs $15 (£10) on Quidco or TopCashBack.

    * Audible offer on RadiumOne at Swagbucks pays 77 cents (86SB), but on Quidco/TopCashBack pays $6 (£4).

There already has been lots of talk on this thread about other sites being better paid than Swagbucks, but it's up to everyone to decide what they want to do with this info... whether they want to be a loyal "Swaggernaut" and have fun and make a bit of extra cash on Swagbucks; or whether they'd rather make the most of their spare time by earning on other sites as well.

For those interested... the multisites earning thread is HERE :)

I'm surprised no-one has commented on this.
People should realise how far reaching being on SBs is regarding all your personal searches etc.
I find that FAR more intrusive than necessary & it has made me rather concerned re personal things on my computer being within the grubby hands of Slick Nick & co.

nobody seems to care do they? same as the virus laden downoads, they still do them. i dont get it.

Viruses/spyware can cost a lot of money to fix or in replacement parts, or, if your bank account details are hacked, even more. So it's either safety and saving money not getting your laptop fixed, or 17sbs. Anyone?
