Chestnut Compound?

Is chestnut compound not made anymore?

I was in Dobbies looking for it and the salesperson said they don't stock it anymore but he didn't know if it was because it was no longer made or if it was now environmentaly unfriendly.

Then I searched google and couldn't find it for sale anywhere.

It seems to have just vanished.

I had a tin of it for years but I used the last of it last year.

Think it was banned when they had their latest clamp down on chemicals - ho hum.

If you do try to find it on line, its called Cheshunt Compound, so you may have more luck.

    its called Cheshunt Compound

    Of course it is.:o

And yet I had a tin of it sitting in my shed for years and always thought it said chestnut.

That makes all the difference to the google results.

Usually when you misspell something in google it corrects it.

    Thanks.
