Opening more than one account
I have recently opened a cash ISA with Natwest, which I decided I don't want. I haven't put any money into it yet (or any other ISA this tax year so far). Can I simply close the account and open another ISA and pay into that?

ISA for under 18s
Hi My Halifax save4it account expired on my 17th birthday and was automatically transferred into a halifax instant saver account. I now want to move the money in this account into an ISA. At the moment I'm planning on moving the money into a standard life ISA - 26 times the interest I'd get from a Halifax ISA :-) However,…

A&L Isa Question
Sorry, sure the answer is obvious but I have an A&L Direct ISA which is already maxed and I see they have brought out a new ISA. Am I able to transfer and is it worth it? I always update ISA annually and move to best rates but have never done it more than once per year. Thanks for your help!!

How can I complain
I'm sure this has happened to more people than myself. I sent in an ISA transfer request to Natwest. They state that they sent a request on 2/6/09 to barclays to carry out the transfer but barclays state they 'can't check whether they have received it'. I have been to natwest to ask why they haven't received the money and…

Opening ISA minimum age
My son will be 16 in a few months, although still has another year in school. He is a great little saver, gets up at the crack of dawn for a paper round and never misses a morning. In the 18 months from his "wages" he has treated himself to a new phone, laptop computer and PS3, but still managed to amass a small fortune of…

Barclays 5% 5 Year ISA
Forum virgin! but here goes: Barclays are offering 5% fixed rate for 5years on ISA fund of £25,000 + but the interest is not compounded and will be paid into another account. Currently getting 3% fixed for 1 year but interest compounded. I view ISA funds as long term investment and therefore I am unlikely to use funds for…

Yorkshire Building Society ISA transfer or not
I've got one of my ISAs with Yorkshire - it is quite an old one as it was a Tessa Rollover. It's fixed year is up and the new rate is not good - fixed at 2% I've been looking to move it, maybe merge it into my NatWest e-ISA but then I would not have an account with Yorkshire any more. In the past I know if building…

Can an ISA provider [Nationwide] do this?
I think Nationwide have 'caught' me out. I would be grateful if someone could confirm this. 2 x small 3 year fix ISA bonds with them are about to mature. Not even enough to qualify for their measly current [3.5%] £25K rate. So I thought I would transfer it out to elsewhere. However, on reading their maturity instructions…

Transferring previous years ISA
Hi, I am going to transfer previous years ISA to Halifax fixed rate ISA. this doesn't allow any further deposits for the term of the ISA.I haven't used any of this year's allowance and as I am over 50, want to use my extra allowance in October. Can I open another ISA at that time as I have only transferred previous years…

Natwest E-Isa transfer in
In late April this year I transferred my Natwest ISA to a Natwest E-ISA (around £7,000). I have a FRISA with Halifax (£8,000) which is due to mature in early August this year. Does anyone know if it is possible for me to transfer the money in the Halifax FRISA (following maturity) into the Natwest E-ISA or will this not be…

Cash ISA Transfers to Halifax, Be Careful
My Wife & I decided to transfer previous years ISA's from NS&I to the Halifax, and what a mistake that was. WE have had nothing but problems, and have received numerous letters asking for information which they already have had, I have spent ages on the phone speaking to different call centres, each time having to go…

Withdrawing some money from a previous years isa
I can't find if this has been askd before. I have opened a ISA with NS&I BS for this year for a regular saving amount, but now discover I have to take money from two older ISAs I have with Nationwide and GCU totalling around £2000, this is to go towards the purchase of a new car, does this come off the allowance I can now…

CASH ISA advice
Ok this was my understanding of a cash ISA. Each tax year you can deposit up to 3600. So if I took out an ISA today for the tax year we are in, I could invest up to 3600 until April. For the next tax year I could take out another ISA and invest up to 3600 from the start of the new tax year. BUT then I read this... I'm…
