My daughter went out last night and someone dropped a drink over her new white linen blend jacket. She tried sponging it off but now the stain has dried in. Its a deep pink stain and she thinks it may have been a cocktail of some sort. Can anyone suggest anything before I do something to make it worse:confused: Thanks

Use your fridge to heat your home!
Maybe this one should be on 'Green and Ethical'! I've just realised that the heat my fridge-freezer pumps out at the back as a by-product of the refrigeration process is going to waste, more or less. I'd like to make use of it although, as I imagine is the case with most people's appliances, mine is very difficult to…

Shrinking a jumper?
Hi, today I bought a jumper and as I was in a hurry I didn't try it on. It looked ok on the hanger as it must of been quite wide, but now I've checked the inside label it's an XXXL instead of a large (I'm a small anyway but I like baggy jumpers). Anyway I've tried it on and it goes down to my knees! And whilst it makes me…

My work is SO not OS
We're moving to new swanky offices next week, which are supposedly all singing and all dancing and guess what? NO staff fridges, microwaves or kettles. INstead we are supposed to use their damn cafe every day. How disgusting is that? Surely there are health and safety issues for people who bring in sandiwiches that are…

Door curtain question
This year I fancy having a nice thick door curtain at the front door. We've got double glazing, so not so much to keep the heat in, more for a feeling of coziness(sp). Not sure how to go about it though, cos either side of my door is a window, so I need those covering as well, so if I get one big curtain that covers…
