Delay in ISA transfer funding a new time limited cash isa.
I've opened a Natwest Fixed rate Cash ISA which must be funded by the 9th June. I've sent a Stocks and Shares transfer request form to fund the cash ISA. If the third party e.g. Hargreaves Lansdown does not transfer my stocks and shares ISA funds (held as cash at the moment) to the Natwest cash ISA before the 9th June will…

Cynergy - anyone sent money to closed account before
My fault completely but I've opened the latest Cynergy Easy Access and stupidly sent funds (from Nationwide) into an old and closed account. It's compounded by not knowing which (of 10) closed Cynergy accounts it's tried to go to. NW don't make it easy to identify which one it's gone to (by app, website or phone where…

Vanguard Lifestyle 60 - is it still right for me?
Knowing very little to nothing about investing, I transferred a small existing pension pot into a Vanguard lifestrategy 60 in 2020. I am over 55 and starting to wonder with savings rates touching 5% whether I would be better taking the 25% tax free and putting it into a long term fix. It would be less than £10k anyway so…

1 year fixed or longer if political parties change?
Hello there, I more or less rely on savings interest to afford to live. What's your creative/efficient (bond) laddering strategy
My laddering strategy is straightforward and quite simplistic. I am retired and have a DB and Stae Pension. House paid for. No foreseen major purchases imminent. I have 12 x 1-year fixed rate 'bonds' - one maturing each month. When each matures, I re-allocate to a new 1-year fixed adding a set amount each month that I have…

What does it mean when a payment has been pending for more than 2 weeks into a bank account?
Hi all, My wife received her normal salary at the end of April, but on the same day had an amount of £1,699 going straight into her savings account. She doesn’t know where it’s from and her work has informed her that this isn’t an additional stipend from them. It’s odd also that it’s gone directly into her savings account,…

Fixed Rate Bond - PSA Implications
Hi I opened a 1 year fixed rate bond in May 2022 (at a poor interest rate - 22/23 tax year) and the interest was paid monthly on that bond to the same account (i.e. I could not access the interest or capital until maturity). The bond has recently matured (23/24 tax year) and I can't find guidance from HMRC which clarifies…
