Anyone transferred Lloyds Bank ISA Shares to Invest Engine?
I have had to fill in the form with Invest Engine 5+ times. They can't seem to find the Lloyds Bank account. The people working at InvestEngine are amazingly incompetent, not sure I should transfer, lol. My account number at Lloyds Bank starts with "EL" with 7 digits. It is called "Ready-Made Investment

Help To Buy ISA
Hi, I opened one of these accounts with Barclays in 2019 and have been saving into it ever since. From next month, I have saved the maximum of £12,000 into it. I am only getting just over 1.5% interest rate on the account. From what I understand I can only use it towards a maximum purchase price of £250,000 which has never…

Is it worth moving my money to a lifetime ISA?
Hi, I'm currently saving to buy a house and will hit £12,000 in my help to buy ISA by the summer. I don't want to buy a house where I currently work so buying a house would mean finding a new job. But I'm not sure I'll be buying a house in the next year as I'll be at my current job for at least another year (I'm mid a…

Transferring A Fixed Term Cash Isa Before Maturity
Would it make sense to transfer a fixed term isa pot that have just over 2 years left, that earns 2.5% annual interest into a new isa that earns over 5%. I know there would be penalties, but it doesn't say how much these would be.

ISA Transfer Query
If I was to open a new 5 year fixed rate ISA in April 2024 and invest 20k, could I transfer in 2 other ISA's in October 2024 from a different provider and keep the same rate I signed up for in April? I'm not sure whether transfers in have to be done when you open the fixed rate ISA. If that's not possible, I assume it…

Pre-emptive ISA opening
Hi All, Sorry but another ISA question! In the current 23/24 tax year I've used up my £20k ISA allowance, but haven't 'opened' a new ISA. Instead I topped up an ISA I opened in the 22/23 tax year. I believe this could make me eligible to be able to open an ISA in the remaining days of the current tax year, but obviously…

Newbie to ISA help!
Hi all - i have been saving in a Chase savings account this year as interest rate was equal to ISA. I have £20000 in the account (no other savings) It looks like I will have tax to pay on the interest (higher rate tax payer). Should I open a cash ISA and pay the lump sum in before the end of this tax year? If I do, if I…

Quick isa question.
Been trying to find out the answer but so far,no joy. I had a fixed Isa that matured last summer and I transferred it to another fixed rate one with the same company, the Coventry. In doing so I withdrew some to have a round sum to reinvest. I now want to open an easy access cash isa with another provider so I can put the…

Best ISA's for opening as POA?
Any recent positive experiences out there of opening Cash ISA's as Power of Attorney to invest on behalf of Donor? I went through the proces about a year ago and it was quite painful. Some of the companies offering the best rates, usually online or app based, did not entertain POA accounts and others had long-winded…

ISA Flexibility Question
Hi all, Got a couple of questions regarding ISA's I hope you can help with. I have an existing Fixed rate Cash ISA with Virgin Money that has a maturity date of October 2024. If I open a flexible easy-access cash ISA in April 2024 and pay into this, it's my understanding I won't be able to pay into the fixed ISA when it…

Cash ISA - closed account, can I open another?
I had a cash ISA with The Principality BC. I wanted to transfer it to Chip, but Chip doesn't allow transfers in. Foolishly I closed the Principality account and the fund were transferred to my current account. I started opening the Chip Cash ISA but there was a declaration I needed to agree to which said I hadn't opened a…

Finally... ISA increase... sort of
Well we are now allowed to contribute an extra £5000 a year into an ISA.... as long as it's into UK funds/companies. I wonder how they'll police that and how investment platforms will market it. Will it be worth a punt for those who have hit the £20k limit elsewhere? The higher returns of non UK funds (even after tax) will…

NS&! Account Question
I have an NS&I account with £10k in premium bonds and £40k in the recent green bond issue, £50k in total. Am I still able to purchase £40k of premium bonds, I'm assuming the £40k in green bonds is separate.

Is it worth opening a preemptive ISA for next tax year?
As the title - I’m looking at the Virgin 5.25% ISA and wondering if it’s worth opening one on the off chance that I can still put money in on 6th April (I’ve already used this year’s allowance). As I see it, the only potential downside is that the account is closed for new cash before I can put the money in. Rates don’t…

Can we do this with our ISAs and Currnent Account .
Do the ISA savings rules allow this plan we have come up with,as our current savings and current account balance are not earning much interest. Current Account balance of approx £35,000 earning no interest. ISA in my name - £21,500 locked in a fixed interest deal till end of March, this year. ISA in Wife name - £21,300 in a…

Keeping Last Year's ISA Money Tax Free
Hi, I have £20K in a 1 year cash ISA which matures on 12th April 2024. Can this money stay in an ISA and therefore I can open another? Or do I have to take this £20K when it matures and use the year it matures ISA allowance? Basically, what I'd like to do is shelter that £20K in an ISA and then open a new one for my latest…

Virgin Cash ISA V The Rest
Best deal on the market if you bought a cash ISA today is the 5.25% with Virgin. Am I right in assuming you would only get 10 months interest, £875 on a £20k investment as the ISA matures on 31/01/25. A better bet today would be the 5.03% offered by Shawbrook which I assume runs the full 12 months paying £1007 on a £20k…
