Virgin Cash ISA AVOID - Read ONLY Access & Now, No login Text Auth Code
BE WARNED --------------- Since opening the Virgin Cash ISA I only have Read Access (without any explanation on why from Virgin) and now I can't even login to the account. They are supposed to send you a text message with a 6-digit code which you enter in the online site. They no longer send you the code. Despite repeated…

Open S&S ISA this tax year along with current Cash ISA and switch in new tax year
Hi. So I have a cash ISA fully funded with£20000 for current year 23/24. I have £40000. Can I open a Stocks & Shares ISA this year, fully fund it, transfer to the Cash ISA in April and then add the other £20000? So instead of just being able to fund £20000 into my cash isa and have £40000 in it, I would be able to have…

Anyone transferred a cash isa to Zopa?
A few weeks back someone posted that their transfer to Zopa had failed. Apparently this was due to a fault in Zopa's system whereby it couldn't accept an amount that differed to that declared during the opening process but on closing the transferring account, interest gets added thus resulting in a discrepancy between the…

LV= (Liverpool Victoria) Old Style Tax Free Savings plan - bonus reducing?
Hi Not posted much here, so hope this is acceptable. My old style £270 a year Tax Free Savings plan was coming up for 20 years just as the demutualisation debate was ongoing, so I thought I'd renew it for another ten years. However, since then, my bonus has been dwindling away and after many years doing well, the total…

Cash ISA Savings

Are my LISA funds split reasonably?
I am 40 yeas old and have a lifetime isa I pay into monthly, I cannot afford to max it out but put in £200 per month, split four ways into the funds below. Performance of the UK stuff has been poor, the international and US funds much better. But as a long term thing I plan to hold for the next 20 years and invest into for…

LISAs and Help To Buy when moving abroad
As I understand it, you can only make payments into an ISA whist resident in the UK. Therefore, you must suspend any payments and notify your provider if you move abroad, even temporarily for work purposes. Is that correct? My main question is - if you temporarily (say for 12 or 18 months) move abroad to work, can you…

I have a 1 year fixed rate ISA (opened May 23) which will mature in May 24. If I re-invest this when they offer me my options, will this still count as year year 23/24? Can I open a new ISA for the new tax year 24/25 as soon as the tax year starts in April? Thank you for any advice.

Cash vs Stocks and Shares ISA?
Hi, I am just starting to look at ISA subscription for 2024/25 and wonder what peoples thoughts are regarding Cash (fixed term) vs Stocks and Shares ISA for the next few years. We have healthy multi-year Stocks and Shares ISA balances built up (we are 64 and 66 accordingly) and a couple of years of Cash ISA on fixed term…
