A hypothetical question - does the £85,000 limit includes shares as well as savings e.g. if I had savings of say £50,000 and a sharedealing account with £40,000 of shares, all with say Halifax would it be covered or does the compensation only cover savings?

Can you simply transfer £1000 between 2 accounts to trigger the interest bonus on this style of current account? For example if I transferred £1000 between Lloyds and Santander current accounts each month would that be classed as "paying in"?

AMC or TER charges - How applied
I wanted to understand how the AMC or TER charges are actual applied/taken from a Unit Trust? I understand that the charges are taken on a daily basis, correct? The performance charts that we view on sites such as Hargreaves Lansdown, are we seeing the Gross or Net values with respect to the AMC or TER charges?
