2 X S&S ISAs in one financial year ?
In June 2017 I opened an S&S ISA with Hargreaves Lansdown. I contributed £50 per month for 6 months (£300) in VLS80. My dad then died and we came into inheritance. I instructed an IFA. He then opened another S&S ISA for me with Aviva in December 2017 I told him about my S&S ISA with HL. He said this was fine as not…

Worth transferring in Help to Buy ISA to LISA?
I opened a Help to Buy ISA in April 2016, and have maxed it out since. The balance is £5,678 (£78 interest in March 2017). I opened a Lifetime ISA with Skipton Building Society last week, and I am drip feeding £4,000 into it over the next four weeks (to avoid current account shock). In the 2018/19 tax year, I will add…

Alliance Trust ISA Transfers
Their website says they can only do "cash" transfers into an S&S ISA at the moment. Does anyone know why this is the case or when it may change? No, I haven't asked them yet before anyone says it :)

Funding Circle vs London Capital
Just looking at my FC actual returns and with the fees and planning for some defaults they seem about the same / little higher as London Capital offer for 3 Yr bonds. But FC are not guaranteed or backed by equity / 100% performance data, like LC, they are much, much smaller companies and many are simply director secured,…

Building a Low Maintenance Long Term Portfolio
Apologies if this appears anywhere else on this forum - couldn't find it if it does. I'm trying to build a long term investment portfolio, with minimal maintenance once set up. I'm looking to invest £100k for 10-15 years. Medium+ risk. I've done a bit of research and built a few portfolios on Trustnet to see their…

easyMoney (easyJet) 4% ISA
Looks good but sounds too good to be true. I read something saying only to put up to to 10% of your money into it, which makes it sound like it's not that great to go with in case it goes wrong?

GDPR "right to portability" - end to exit fees?
Hi everyone, I have a question involving a potential scenario in “the right to data portability” introduced by Article 20 of the GDPR. If I, as a data subject, and holder of equity funds, ask the custodian organisation of my funds, to transmit my personal data to another controller (ie, a competitor organisation) without…

Thoughts on Multi-Asset Funds for 2018
Hi, I have read a few views that there are potential risks in investing in government bonds due to rising interest rates and also the US economy where assets (such as FANG) are seen as being hugely over-valued. If you were to agree with this opinion, then this suggests that popular multi-asset funds such as the Vangaurd…

Account for non-residents?
Hi - my sister is British but lives permanently in Australia. She would like to have a UK savings account that she could leave sterling in and draw on when she visits the UK each year. The only international account I can find requires a minimum balance of £25K - not possible. Anything I am not seeing?

ICICI Bank warning
I recently applied for an HiSave account with ICICI bank, given that at the time it was the best rate for an instant access savings account. Today I received an insecure email from them detailing all my account details, both savings and existing current account. Also included in this email were full details of the direct…

Fund investment through HSBC
Hi all, I have a sum to invest (around 50k) and I am considering fund based on corporate bonds in the UK.
