Irresponsible lending letters
Just in process of starting self managed DMP - but from advice here, letting all accounts default first before contacting and setting up an agreement for payment. I feel I have grounds for some lenders for irresponsible lending. When should I start sending those letters? Given the fact that I am essentially going AWOL them…

Mortimer Clarke - CCJ (I have tried the other threads)
Hi. Wondering if anyone can help. I received a letter from Mortimer Clarke in December last year claiming I owed them over £2k. I wrote back (without signing the letter) asking who they were and what debt they were chasing. After much to and fro-ing they claimed the deb was for Black Horse (taken out 18/06/2002 and…

Resolve Call Visit
I had someone call at my door today and they posted a notice through the letterbox saying I have an outstanding debt and to contact them. I was bankrupted in 2002, discharged in 2006 and have not missed a payment on anything in over 15 years. My credit score is in the excellent band. What should I do- ignore them?

We borrowed to extend our home which has increased its value as well as provided us with the space to live here forever. Our original 5 year mortgage ends in 8 months (November 1st 2024). Due to the payments required on loans and interest free credit cards we have a negative monthly balance. We can consolidate all debts…

Wife being chased by BW Legal over a debt that isn't hers
We moved house last December. The house itself and all of the bills were in my name. On the day of completion we took final meter readings and submitted them to EON. All was well up until a couple of months ago when my wife got a written letter from BW Legal saying she owed approx £100 for a period of around 16 days after…

Longish story. About 6 years ago we got a lot of calls from Lowell asking to speak to woman (name is always the same but don't think I should put it here) who we had never heard of. This went on for a few months and then stopped. At this time I had had the phone number for around two years. About 6 months ago these calls…

Defaults
Hi, Please could you advise me whether I need to contact lenders as each of my debts default? Ideally I would like to wait for them all to default before starting a self-managed DMP, but I’m wary about further action being taken, such as a CCJ, etc. Thanks for your help.
