Vanguard not collecting fees
Has anyone faced issues with Vanguard not collecting account fees via direct debit? I noticed a few months ago that I had a fair few fees stuck on pending within the account that were meant to be collected via direct debit, but they hadn't been. The bank account is in good standing, I haven't cancelled the direct debit and…

Christmas Savings Accounts
Painful as it is to start thinking about next Christmas, I had a Yorkshire Bank Xmas Saver in 2023 and would like to open another this year. However, I see no sign of it today on the YBS website. Any other suggestions? Does not seem to be much on offer and I would prefer to avoid Park Xmas as they give you a voucher.

Transferring platforms for Stocks & Shares ISA

Curiosity: why go with (example...) H/Lansdown, St James' Place?
Something I wondered recently after seeing someone here be with Hargreaves Lansdown. What makes you be with costlier providers like them and St James' Place rather than go elsewhere? I was with H/Lansdown for years but as I learned more & the important of fees (although not the be all & end all), I found I could get the…

Tax on savings
I have a question about tax on savings that I was hoping someone could assist with. We have recently sold our house in Scotland and will need to rent for a while until we find something suitable. The money from the sale (approximately £300,000) will need to go into a savings account which we'll need to be able to access…

How to invest in social housing?
Hello Forumites,I have always wanted to invest in property, but can't afford to buy a whole second property myself. I've seen some adverts where you can invest in social housing by sending like £20k-80k to a company that would do it for you, and they promise to provide you with quite high ROI. It does look suspicious to me…

Avoid Metro Bank if you don’t live near a branch
Metro Bank claim to offer online accounts. I have discovered this is not completely true. There was a problem with my online account. Metro Bank insisted I went into a branch even though it was an hour away. Thank goodness I didn’t live in the Outer Hebrides or the Isle of Wight or I might never have got my money back!

As part of a probate settlement we sold a large number of 2 1/2% indexed-linked treasury stock 2024, last year. Investing In The S&P 500 - S&P 500 Index Tracking Fund Options
I was recently discussing with a family member (29) an inheritance that they received a couple of years ago. At the end of the year, they were undecided what to do with the…

I tried to open a Metro Bank Instant Access Savings Account online. I photo'd my driving licence and took a selfie as requested.
