Here is my set-up: thermostat is in living room with non-trv radiator. all other rooms have radiators with TRV's. We had our 1930s house retiled 18 months ago. A small stain appeared on the ceiling so we looked in the roof space. All the felt is wet, looks like condensation, the insulation is also damp. Does this mean the roof is leaking? Or is it due to lack of ventilation? What ventilation should we have? Will it be easy to resolve?…

I cant believe my luck my central heating warranty ran out on 10th December :( Ever since the new boiler was put in 2 years ago it had to be topped up every week so I always knew there was a leak somewhere but because it wasnt an obvious one they couldnt do anything about it only if I knew where it was coming from. New boiler needs re-pressurising already
Had a new boiler a few months back and it stopped working a few days ago giving a fault number that the boiler needed to be re-pressurised. Plumber took a few minutes to do this by adjusting a couple of screws, with his back to me so never saw where he was fiddling around. He went on to say even if I bleed the rads it may…

Recording with Freesat
After months of satisfactory freeview reception we are now experiencing very poor, often non existant, signals from Crystal Palace. I have been told that it may (note may) be OK again if I upgrade my aerial and cables. The cost of this makes freesat look an option I ought to consider. A snag I think is that I have a dvd…
