Paragon 2 YR fixed rate cash ISA...
Hello All, I'm looking to open one of the above cash ISA's. I was planning to transfer my exisiting ISA savings from an existing account elsewhere. My plan was to have the interest paid monthly into another bank account. Whilst siging up for the account there was a statement effectively saying that if I transfer the…

Drip-feed from Cash ISA to S&S ISA
In the new tax year I plan to add £10,000 to a fixed Cash ISA and £10,000 to my existing S&S ISA (HSBC GIC). Under the new rules, am I allowed to additionally open a flexible easy-access Cash ISA, fund it with the £10,000 intended for the S&S ISA, then use that to drip-feed the S&S ISA? Thanks in advance for any replies.

Cash ISA question
Sorry if this has been asked before but I have used my cash ISA allowance for 23/24 and want to open another for 24/25. Can I open it this year but not fund it until 6 April or do I have to wait until 6 April to open it?

Coventry ISAs 2024/25
The new ISA regime is only days away but the Coventry Building Society is unsure what to do: Some providers may allow you to open multiple accounts with them in the same tax year. At Coventry Building Society, we're still considering the best way to embrace this new flexibility. Paying into an ISA you haven't paid into…

Chip ISA problem
Tempted by the Chip cash Isa offer, I downloaded the app, but have found it impossible to prove my identity. It suggests my driving licence (though spells licence incorrectly) but when I try to use this option, my android phone says the app has a bug in it and Chip need to sort it. I've tried messaging them to try to get…

If i have a flexible cash ISA of previous years subscriptions and withdrew £20,000 to current acc after 6 April 24, then put this £20,000 in a S&S ISA which i understand would be 24/25 allowance used (understand i could transfer to S&S ISA but needs to be new money)Can i then withdraw the £20,000 from the S&S ISA to…

Virgin 1 Year Fixed Rate Cash ISA Exclusive issue 11
I have just opened the Virgin Cash ISA issue 11 with a fixed rate for 1 year of 5.25% and maturity date of 31/3/25, which at the moment is top of the 1 year fixed cash ISA tables. You need a Virgin current account. T&C`s state that no minimum is required to open and maintain this account and that you have up to 30 days…

Anyone transferred a cash isa to Zopa?
A few weeks back someone posted that their transfer to Zopa had failed. Apparently this was due to a fault in Zopa's system whereby it couldn't accept an amount that differed to that declared during the opening process but on closing the transferring account, interest gets added thus resulting in a discrepancy between the…

Fixed rate ISA - please help
I spent hours reading all the posts and decided to go with Virgin Money Issue 11 on the afternoon it was withdrawn. I have looked at Paragon bank but I don't know anything about them so I would value your opinions/experiences with them or other recommends. I don't like apps, I am looking for a fixed 1 year ISA to open this…

It is a variable cash ISA that's been funded with this years allowance, now when the 6th April passes am I free to put more in this existing ISA and if I did does that…

Cash ISA advice...MSE newbie
Hi all...after some advice and information from knowledgeable members. I have £20,000 in my current account and looking to save some of it sensibly. I have seen all the 'use it or lose it' headlines about utilising my 2023/24 isa allowance and opened a 1 year fixed rate cash isa with my bank within the last week. I have…

Compound Interest
If a fixed term ISA provider, in this case Oak North, who's current interest rate is 5.07%, pays interest monthly, does this interest compound, meaning in month 1, for every £1000 you invest you now £1050, in month 2 you now have £1153, in month 3....................you see where I'm going with this?

Fixed Rate ISA dates
I have been reading numerous threads but am still struggling to get my head around how ISAs work. I've got two existing ones which are fixed to 01/04/24. I am wanting to upgrade them but also add in £20k from 23/24 tax year as yet unused. What is the best way to do this? Santander say applications have to be in by 28/03/24…

I've opened, but not paid into, 2 cash ISA's in this tax year.
Hi all, Last week I opened an easy access Cash ISA with Virgin. I then thought as interest rates may drop this year it would best to open a fixed rate Cash ISA l, so I opened one with OakNorth as well. I've not paid into either yet and have no intention of funding the Virgin one now, however before I pay the full 20k into…

New ISA rules - treating an easy access cash ISA like a regular saver, before transferring to a fix?
Hi all, Newby here trying to get my head around the new ISA rules from April. I have some money in a 1yr fixed cash ISA maturing in November '24. Am I ok to open an easy access cash ISA in April and 'drip feed' spare cash into it monthly until November, then transfer everything from both the ISAs into a new 1 yr fix cash…

Isa fixed rate period questions
Hypothetical question (if you had the money) - If you opened a 1 year fixed rate isa in say July for the maximum amount what are your options when the new tax year starts in April the following year? Obviously you don't want to touch the money whilst it's in it's fixed rate period. Is the best thing to wait until it…

Lifetime ISA bonus?
My daughter wants to transfer part of her H2B ISA to a Lifetime ISA. If she does that now, a few days before the end of the tax year, and the transfer takes a couple of weeks or more to go through (i.e won't appear in the account until into the new tax year), will she still be eligible for the bonus on this year's amount?

Transferring S&S ISA from Vanguard when it gets above ~£30k
Hi All, I hope you are well. My S&S ISA is getting to a point where a flat fee would be better than Vanguard's percentage fee. I have just over £30k invested there from previous years. I also have £16k of this year's allowance to put somewhere before 6 April, having already put £4k in a LISA. I've been checking Monevator's…
