Valuing suffix (dated) number plate
I have inherited a car with an old number plate (3 letters, followed by '1S'). I am trying to get a rough idea of the value of the number (it is not immediately meaningful to me, so it is not an obviously valuable one). I am finding that the market in numbers is anything but transparent, and there seem to be rules I am…

We buy any car valuations
I got an on line valuation for a 13 year old car. I told them it had 1 key no service history and short MOT. It said I had 4 days for the guaranteed valuation so took my car up a couple of days later. The guy there looked the car over, checking for rust on fibreglass amd aluminium panels, and then told me the valuation was…

Caught speeding, but not heard much
Hi all. I was caught on a speed camera doing 54 in a 40 zone in London. The met police sent me a letter which I admitted and accepted I was the driver and I paid the fine £100. I wasn’t offered the course as I have done one 2.5 years ago but I have a clean license currently with no points. Everything was sent off in time…

ULEZ Representation possibility
Good afternoon, I have received two Penalty Charge Notices for the London ULEZ and although I don't have any conventional grounds for appeal, I think it is (or should be) possible to listen to and accept my representation. I'm afraid they won't, and would also lose the opportunity to pay them with the early payment…

We purchased a Ford Fiesta (65 plate) 3 years ago this September and took out the extended warranty they offered us for 3 years (expires Sept 2024). We have recently noticed lots of water in the driver side rear footwell and boot so booked the car in at the garage. When checking in the woman said “we probably won’t be able…

AA Membership
I'm just trying to understand what I am actually covered for with my AA membership. I know I have Roadside Assistance membership. I believe this means I have to be at least 0.25 miles from my home to qualify for any assistance? If the car cannot be repaired at the roadside the AA will get my car to the nearest garage?…

Hey all I've been renting a van from a rental company for the last 5 years (same van for the last 4 years), and they are renewing their fleet in the next couple of weeks. Hi all I'm after some advice please. I had a car accident at the end of September 2022 and as I was unconscious the entire time (following a seizure) of the accident happening, I don't know what I hit. Maintaining NCD for additional driver
I'm married and have just sold my car. My wife has a car on which I have always been a named driver and we have a new quote now that there will only be 1 car in the household. Eventually I'll save up and get a new car....but that's in a timescale of years not months. As a named driver, how long will I maintain my no claims…

Ford Kuga LED headlights
Hi, I can't find a definitive answer online. I have a 73 plate Ford Kuga ST Line X Edition PHEV on order from stock (company car) and I'm getting conflicting info on whether it'll have LED headlights. The spec sheet we were sent just shows 'auto headlamps'. The Ford website suggests all trims Titanium and above, do have…

BMW Brake Pads
When I check the status of the front brake pads, the status is given as per the picture. The green icons lead me to believe that there is no issue and the pads are currently OK. The message "Next change due..." is ambiguous to me. Perhaps I am being stupid. Does it mean: 1) That the pads are good for another 25,000 miles?…
