What's worth the investment?
This is a bit of an open ended question, but my partner and I are in a place right now where we could put some money towards buying more expensive house/kitchen/garden items that are worth the investment and will last longer. From your experience, what items have long outlasted your initial investment and you'd recommend…

Ninja? or not?
The discount on Ninja shown this week looks very good, but! We have had 3 Ninja multicookers in the last 4 years, 2 packed up, the fan it seems, and one didnt work when it arrived so replaced. One broke just within the year so was replaced, actually we paid the difference for a unit with even more functions, but that broke…

Copper frying pans
Are there any chefs out there who could suggest which decent quality copper pans to buy? Don't mind spending a bit as will probably only buy once in my lifetime. However have looked at Mauviel pans and they are so extremely expensive that I would be frightened to use them.

New food processor

Refund?
I think I've been Hacked by total AV or someone posing as.... It was through PayPal etc. I find it very difficult to sort this out as firstly one can't get through to either Total AV or indeed Paypal. Is there a more straightforward route, or do I just go through hoops? I have (I think) sent messages to both Total and…

Flowers or plants by post
Hi. Recommendations for flowers or plants by post as a housewarming gift, please. I've been the recipient of flowers by local florists - and the results have been mixed, to put it politely. Would I be better off with a big company rather than going directly to a local florist? Any other ideas for a housewarming gift by…

Clark's formal shoes dillemma
I bought a pair of size 8 shoes from Clark's. On their website, you had to choose extra wide fit or you could not add it to the cart. Now, 2 months after the shoes arrived, I went to wear them for work and found that these are actually the size of a 8.5 even though size 8 is plastered everywhere. Clarks' have refused to…

Are mug warmers worth it?
Has anybody ever used a temperature-controlled mug warmer to help stop your tea/coffee/[insert other warm beverage] from going cold while you work, or reheat it when you inevitably get distracted? We don't have a microwave (and since it's a cardinal sin to reheat one's tea in there anyway!), so looking for a good mug…

Just for toys for use on partner. We are married couple and trying for baby as well. So there is no need to be "reliable". just needed to wrap toys on to keep them clean. Any resources? Prefer not to go to sexual health clinic to try to get them free.

Save money on clothing?
I don't buy many clothes but when I do it's expensive. I can't go shopping as my toddler won't let me 😂 so I buy online or in Sainsburys before work. Not a lot of choice for this fussy person. I looked into 2nd hand but I'm concerned it's just as expensive and things won't last long as new? I usually buy new…

Paper doilies - who sells them?
You'd think they'd be sold all over the place BUT I find no reference to them on any supermarket site or places like Poundland and B&M. Has anyone seen them for sale anywhere recently?

Bread machine recommendations please
My old bread machine is no longer performing. It sounds like mice being tortured (not good in an open plan home) and sometimes leaves black marks in the dough. I have being trying to find a twin paddle machine as I like to bake a decent sized loaf. I did get a single paddle machine on Freecycle but it made a very deep,…

Need recommendations for which vacuum cleaner to buy please.
I have a G-tech at the moment which I love and use for my stair carpet and rugs but I want to buy another for my laminate floors. My needs are- cordless, lightweight and with a nozzle I can put on the end of the tube so I can get down into the nooks and crannies behind furniture and behind my couch without having to keep…
