Hi All My partner currently owns 80% of a property, with the remaining 20% owned by the builders. I have never owned a property and am therefore considering opening a lifetime ISA. Hi After guidance here previously I transferred my H2B isa into a LISA (December 2017) thinking I would be buying in 18months or so. I received the letter the bank give you to present to a solicitor closing the account on the H2B isa. This is valid for 12 months. I intended to keep the LISA for the year and then look to…

Service review invitations- is Lloyds aggressive?
I receive an "invitation to a service review" from Lloyds practically every month. It's a Club account I have mainly used as "linked" to savings accounts so occasionally sees large sums coming in and going out when changing savings account provider. I have a similar account with Halifax which has never had such an…

How Global funds react to market realities
Morning Everyone. The main bulk of my stock portfolio is a global ETF (Vanguard FTSE All-World UCITS ETF). Does anyone know how these ETFs work and redistribute? For example over 50% of the shares are US based. If the US' economic dominance were to decline in favour of China in the next 30 years, for example, would the…

Coventry Building Society has notified the reduction in interest rate on its (discontinued) Easy Access Online account from 1.40% to 1.25% on 16th March. Charles Stanley Direct - Where to Start?
Hi all, Currently I have some disposable income to manage. After reading the S&S ISA guide on here, I decided to take the first step towards investing my money through CSD. Contextually, my other savings are tied up in current accounts and regular savers - so I thought S&S would be a logical step. I guess I had this…

Will interest rates will rise at the end of Feb?
Seems as the low interest era is well and truly drawing to a close. The final BOE scheme to provide banks and building societies with a cheap source of liquidity is shortly to end. While the BOE itself is indicating an accelerated rate of increase in base rate. Will improved deposit rates impact investment into equities,…

£2000 per month to invest
I am hoping to buy a property as quickly as possible and would not be able to get a mortgage. I have savings of £150k. But would need maybe another £100k to buy in the area I want.
