Just used Martin's article and called Euphony. I am at home during the day and call mainly to landlines during days, evenings and weekends. They offered me a new tariff - it is on a contract for 18 months but I thought it was a pretty good deal: First six months - £1 per month Next twelve monts - £5.95 per month All…

Customer Satisfaction
I think that it would be great if the reviews and recommendation on this site could always include something like a customer satisfaction rating or reviews of the supplier in question rather than merely how much they cost. I know it is money saving advice but sometimes you end up losing more by choosing a cheaper service…

Clearest connection to India?
Hi, I need to make an important call to someone in India and will be discussing some complicated issues. Can anyone recommend a service that provides a clear connection? On previous calls to India the connection has been very poor, making it difficult to discuss anything complicated. This is for work, so the cost is…

BT didn't follow through on compensation

Having rung them this morning, they told me that,…

Get out of your Talk Talk 18 month line rental/calls/broadband package.
This article in yesterdays Sunday Times. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/newspaper/0,,176-2350105_1,00.html Suggests you can get out without a cancellation fee before the go-live broadband date, and that you might be able to get it waived if it has gone live,if you have had poor service. Primus Questions....
I signed up for Primus 6 months or so ago. Then as now, there were various offers available. One involved signing up through USwitch and another direct from their website after being creative with the menus selecting the package. Either way it meant that after 12 months the cost of the package would have effectively been…

Junk call diary, might be useful for caller ID users.
I've just bought a phone with caller ID and caller records. Every day I find some random marketing number in the missed calls list. I google search them and nothing comes up. This evening I had a call from some random life insurance company; they had been given my number by the master of cross-selling, Halifax. Anyway, if…

TalkTalk to charge £1 for printed monthly bill
Apologies if this has been already posted. Got our monthly bill in from TalkTalk yesterday and there's a note saying that continuing to receive a paper bill will add £1 on to your monthly bill. The option to receive paper bills can be changed on their website if you wish.

Talk Talk bar over 70,s from signing up for phone/broadband packages.
From todays Mail on Sunday. "After walking the Great Wall of China and making plans for a trip to Russia, Shirley Greening-Jackson thought signing up for a new internet service would be a doddle. But the young man behind the counter had other ideas. He said she was barred - because she was too old. The 75-year-old would…

This may be a silly question, but if we decided to swap from NTL to BT do we have to have a new phone line installed? And if so, will BT charge us for the installation? TIA
