Cynergy deposits
I've opened Cynergy Easy Access and paid in £1 yesterday morning, but it is still not showing. I remember that withdrawals arrive on the same day, but can't remember about deposits and I can't find this info on their website. Can anyone advise how long deposits take to arrive to Cynergy?

Looking to open one for my 12 year old (i posted about the jisa we have for him). But I'm finding it incredibly difficult to simply open a basic account. We've tried creating one with banks we already bank with; Lloyds website doesnt work and goes into an endless apply now>log in>apply now>log in loop, and others like…

Principality Building Society website, unable to log in.
It is not possible to log on to the "Your Account" section of their website because of "Website Maintenance". I assume this cannot be planned as we are only a couple of days into the new tax year.

Considering gilts
For the last few years I’ve been keeping myself as a basic
rate tax payer by making additional pension contributions. However, as my
savings interest is going to be pretty high for the next 3 or 4 years that will
involve salary sacrificing close to half of my salary on AVCs, which I’d rather
avoid (as I hope to retire…

Inheritence - what to do with it
My husband and I are about to receive a decent amount of inheritence and are wondering how best to use it. We know we want to move house but are aware mortgage rates are not the best these days and are not sure if we'll realistically be able to move for another year or so. We have a house at the moment with £150k left on…

Fidelity - taxing interest outside ISA?
DH holds some cash in his Fidelity Cash Management Account to pay the fees on his S&S ISA. This earns some interest. However, they also appear to be deducting tax from the interest at source, rather than paying it gross. It's only pennies, but I thought all interest is paid gross these days. DH is well within any tax from…

How much do you keep on any single platform?
I'm at that point where platform fees matter and are visible and noticable. I have a GIA account with IWeb with £150K in it and I would be a few hundred a year better off in fees by moving the £200K I have in a Vanguard ISA across to IWeb. I also bank with Lloyds and I know Lloyds Banking Group own IWeb. I know some people…

Transferring funds and shares from European to UK broker
When we lived overseas (in Europe) we had a European brokerage account and, since moving back to the UK, we now have a UK account. I would really like to consolidate everything on one platform but can't sell everything overseas (and rebuy in the UK) because it will crystallize capital gains. Has anyone managed to do that?

InvestEngine overdue accounts
InvestEngine, featured in the MSE tables, has a very
competitive offer. However, the Companies House website shows its accounts are
now overdue. This is despite there being filings of other sorts in recent days.
Some nominee companies also seem to have late filing. Is this a
concern?

yougov.finance bribe
It's one of these almost-too-good-to-be-true stories, but it is true. First mentioned by @Bridlington1 in the Natwest Regular Saver thread, but I reckon this deserves its own thread as it could be of interest to those who have at least 10 current, credit card and savings accounts and not everyone reads the Natwest RS…

Income investing - newbie question
Hi, I’m completely new to investing so please forgive me if this post is ridiculous. Basically, I have £100k to invest. In what? Goodness knows! I’ve been reading about income investing which left me wondering if I played my cards right, could it be a realistic expectation to generate around £500 per month?
