Your experiences with RBS?
Hi All My current deal with Egg is due to finish in Oct, so I'm considering applying for the RBS Platinum. Previously I've had £15K limits and am hoping for the same. What experiences have you all had with this card? Should I be looking at another card? Thanks for reading:D BFF

Getting cash into a current account
What methods are people using to get the cash into a current account? MBNA seem to be the only ones that do a transfer into a current account now. I used to use Egg but they seem to charge now too.

Stoozing and Mortgages - dilemma
Hi My mortgage (2 year fixed 4.99% on £180K) is nearing the end of it's introductory 2 years so i went to see a mortgage broker. She asked me all about my finances including my credit card debts. I explained that i owed £4600 to virgin on a 0% deal but that all of that money was in savings accounts. £3000 an ISA and £1600…

Stroud & Swindon: fee or no fee?
I just applied for a Stroud & Swindon c/c, based on it being included in the "zero fee" category on the site, only to receive an application form from The Co-operative Bank, who run the card, showing a balance transfer fee of 2%! Anyone else discovered this? Looks like the S&S card no longer qualifies for the zero fee…

Sky extend 0% offer until July 07!
Got a letter from Skycard this morning explaining that the 0% interest on purchases and transfers has been extended from 1st April until 1st July. Another 3 months interest - not a bad stooze! Just got to get them to increase the credit limit now.

Middle-to-Advanced Stoozing Routes
Hello there... In the spirit of understanding stoozing better, I want to check if I understand something correctly. If I were using the "Middle Route" for stoozing (i.e., Egg Money and 0% BT cards) and wanted to make the money work harder, I would opt for the "Advanced Route" and have the money transferred (SBT through…

Stoozing Interest - how do you spend yours?
Hi guys Been slow stoozing since the beginning of the year and after a slow start, am now beginning to see some decent interest payments from ICICI at the end of each month. I'm just wondering what you more experienced stoozers do with this interest, do you cream it off every month, do you leave it to compound year after…

GE Transformation card refusal
Hi, just wanted to know if anyone had any problems with applying for a card off this bunch that Martin recommends. I am coming to the end of a 6mth interest free card and was interested in starting a new one. Despite a perfect credit history and less than £4000 on my stoozing card, I have been rejected. Also taking an age…

Where Now ?
I am really struggling to keep balances going now ! Can anyone tell me what the current position is with related cards ? Specifically , I have just asked to have virgin closed, but it won't have been done yet and wonder if another MBNA would be possible. I also use Tesco ( RBS) card regularly, clearing the balance so would…

Please help - have we ruined our stooze card?
Hi all., We got a HBOS charity credit card - no fee for balance transfer and 6 months 0% free. We put £1,550 onto it 6 weeks ago. Question 1: My OH bought an Ipod for me for my birthday 3 weeks ago on this card (I did not realise, only found out yesterday and I know Martin says never ever spend on these cards) - has this…

Egg - cannot be new customer within 12 months
Just found out today, that if you do cancel a card with Egg, you cannot reapply within 12 months of cancelling. This may be useful in deciding whether to actually cancel Egg Card after your final balance transfer, or hang onto it in case they try to offer old customers incentives to use it (NB: I'm keeping my Egg Money for…

Stoozing?
My first visit to this board - what is Stoozing? Sorry to sound so thick!

Egg - BT fee... or maybe not...
I asked to cancel my Egg Green credit card as there didn't seem much point in keeping it now that they charge a BT fee, which is what I told Egg when they phoned me up and tried to talk me out of it. But then I got an odd response. The guy said the BT fee was not always being applied. Naturally I seized on that and tried…

Barclaycard's '0% forever' (old deal)
[This is about an offer which is no longer available from BC but the card will be held by many members here:] A small point occurs about the 0% LOB card from Barclaycard. I always assumed that I would pay it off entirely once the standard rate balance (minimum purchases plus rolled up interest) was just equal to the amount…

SBTs Fee?
Hi New to SBT's. Does making an SBT attract a BT fee as well? (I am particular thinking about Egg Money) If not then I could open ABC card that has 0% rate on BT for X months. Then do a BT to the Egg Money card (paying a BT fee to ABC card, if there is one). Then do a SBT from Egg Money into my bank account (for free, no…

HSBC - what's my 0% end date?
Called HSBC today as my 6m stooze will be ending soon and I wanted to double check the date by which it has to be paid off (time to apply for the Post Office card I think). I opened the card on 22 February and put the BT through on 20 March. I was therefore expecting an end date of 20 September, ie 6 months from the date…
