Credit Limit Increases - manual vs automated payment
Hi, Looking to increase my credit limit on a card I have. I pay it off in full each month. Does it matter if this is by direct debit or manual payment, or are both as well regarded as each other as long as I continue to pay in full each month please? Thank you

Are shorter term balance transfers paid off in priority to longer term ones?
I believe the answer is yes, but I can't find anything specifically to state it. Looking at Barclaycard in particular.

Claim back cost of work carried out by a garage
I recently had some work done on my car to replace a stater motor. Subsequently, it has transpired that it didn’t need a new start motor at all and the garage essentially changed it without doing proper diagnostics etc to figure out the problem. They’ve also refused to take the car back to do the work that actually needs…

Buying a used car on CC, extra protection?
I’m looking to buy a cheap used car to use for a few months, perhaps around the 2k mark. It’s hard to find any dealer who doesn’t have at least a couple of reviews “it exploded 500m down the road and they wouldn’t fix it” so I’m nervous. I’m aware of the 2015 consumer rights law (lemon law) but even so, you could end up…

Barclaycard Android App CHAT missing
I needed to contact Barclaycard support to discuss some problems with blocked payments. Everywhere on their web site they tell you to download the Barclay Card App, go to Contact Us, then select Chat. I downloaded the App yesterday but it does not have "Contact Us" or Chat options, only Help? (at bottom of screen). Clicked…

Did I get the right credit card?
Hi, New to credit cards, I got my first one 2 months ago with Capital One with a £1,500 credit limit. I originally got it as a "credit builder" card as I was just following suggestions that I'd seen online but it feels like the wrong decision. There are no benefits on it whatsoever, no cashback or points etc. and the…

M&S Credit Card Application
My husband applied for an M&S credit card through MSE. At the end of the application it stated they had received it and it would take 5 working days for the decision. Over a week later he’s received no reference number, no correspondence, or email. How do we go about following up with no details at hand?

Increasing Credit Card limit question
Hi I have been increasing my credit card limit every 6 months. I never miss payment and I have requested a 1k increase every 6 months which is granted. I am wondering what would happen if I request 2k? Is there a chance they decline and then I get no increase at all? Or would they decline and then I request 1k which they…

HELP! Barclaycard unauthorised account closure
Hi Everyone, I have been a customer of Barclaycard for around 9 years now and recently got a new credit card with them. I used my 0% offer on a balance transfer and put close to £5000 on to the card. Pulse Card payment due date
Had an email from Pulse Credit card which is run by Newday advising me that they are going to move the statement date and payment due date by 5 days but leaving the Direct debit date as it is now. It basically means that they will be taking the DD 5 days before the payment due date. Somewhat intrigued to find out the…

Legal ramifications of spreading large cost over different credit cards
I’m about to make a large purchase. I have some credit cards offering 0% on purchases but none of them has a sufficiently high credit limit to cover the whole cost of the proposed purchase. None of the limits can be increased further. What is the legal position if I have a problem with the goods but I have spread the cost…

Section 75 - have I paid via credit card or Paypal?
Hi I've tried making a Section 75 claim on a closed credit card account. They say I used paypal to pay for the item therefore I have no Section 75 protection. My question is how can I tell if I used paypal or not? I can see the transaction in my paypal account - it says paid with Amazon credit card (which would've been a…

Mistakenly in Applying for Credit Card to Pay Off Paypal Credit - Some Questions
