Self Build PC
Hi, Looking at getting a new PC, I've tended to build my own but the cost savings nowadays seem to be less than they were just a few years ago. I like the look of this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07798R425?tag=track-ecv-uk-308730-21&linkCode=osi&th=1&psc=1&ascsubtag=ecSEPfc1u83jlnuhk8we But I would want 2 TB SSD and…

Network ports
Hi all I've got some homeplugs in order to get a wired connection to another room (I've turned into an office/workroom). The "receiving" homeplug only has two ports, they are both in use and I could do with an extra port (possibly more). Can I plug in a network switch to the homeplug and then all devices into that? If it's…

Burning CD/DVD options for an Android user
Research suggests there's no ability to burn disks on an Android device. My old Windows laptop is at the end of its life and I've come to prefer the simplicity of Android when using a tablet. Is there a way around this without going back to Windows? I've no experience using Apple devices and they're out of my price range.

PS4 problem
My son says his ps4 is lagging. Slowing him down that he is unable to play properly, he has autism so this doesn't go down well. I've had lots of checks and a WiFi booster from BT so it's not the WiFi. What could be causing it and is it fixable? Dreading having to get him anew console.

how do I pin to the top page of my phone?
2 things that I use frequently on my android phone are the calculator and the clock (timer and alarm). I can get to these reasonably easy by going into settings, all apps and then opening one or the other but it would be so much easier if I could pin them to the front page along with the other apps I have there - outlook,…

Microsoft's Phone Link (Win10) no good after changing MS password & adding 2FA
Top & bottom if it is the thread title. Phone Link was working fine. It now doesn't 'see' my phone. It asks me to open a QR code & then scan it using the camera on my phone but when I do this it says Invalid QR code. How do I link up my phone with Windows 10? It was a pretty handy feature which I used fairly frequently…

Simply to allow me to use CD's/DVD's The reason is that they are worth virtually zero in terms of £'s but one is "as new" (despite it being almost 10 years old) - the other is a high spec 5 year old i5 with a 1Tb SSD and 12Gb RAM - Yet is only valued at…

the "app & browser control" part of my the Windows Security on my computer says action is needed. When i click on "review" it goes to "protection history", which lists 2 potentially wanted items. I would like to add a small (415KB) audio file to a post on a forum I frequent which was built with/runs on SimplePortal 2.3.5. However, there is no provision for uploading such a file. Can I upload it somewhere else and link to that, or is there another way to achieve the same result?

I'm running a Dell Inspiron 15 3000 on Windows 10. No real demands on it - just a bit of internet surfing, posting on forums, catch-up TV and Youtube channels. Had no problems with speed etc in the nearly three years I've had it but yesterday it started running really slowly. First noted it with breakup of video on Youtube…
