ISA Query
Hi I changed my original ISA to a fixed term ISA that expires in November. I missed the deadline for paying into this fixed ISA so the only money added to it from tax year April 2023-24 is the interest. As I'm not allowed to add to this can I open another ISA elsewhere and pay in up to 20k before this April 6th and then…

Chip ISA problem
Tempted by the Chip cash Isa offer, I downloaded the app, but have found it impossible to prove my identity. It suggests my driving licence (though spells licence incorrectly) but when I try to use this option, my android phone says the app has a bug in it and Chip need to sort it. I've tried messaging them to try to get…

Does anyone else use Trading 212 for their S&S ISA?
Hi Each year I invest my ISA allowance in passive index funds on the Vanguard platform. At the end of each tax year I then transfer these over to my iWeb account to store them. (there is zero platform fees on iWeb!) For a bit of fun I thought Id try a different trading platform. Perhaps Trading212. - Are there trading fees…

Help with transfer please
I posted previously about having subscribed into a fixed cash Isa with 10K in October 2023 and was advised by the helpful folk here that if I wanted to maximise my allowance I needed to open a S&S Isa at the end of the tax year with cash and then transfer it elsewhere next year. I have opened the S&S ISa and the 10K will…

Transferring previous years Cash ISAs into a Flexible ISA
I have a couple of previous years fixed rate cash ISAs where the term is coming to an end in November '24 (approx £44k inc interest earned). I would normally reinvest this in new fixed rate 2 or 3 year cash ISAs but want to use the money to support buying a new home around that time. I plan to open a new '24-'25 Flexible…

Drip-feed from Cash ISA to S&S ISA
In the new tax year I plan to add £10,000 to a fixed Cash ISA and £10,000 to my existing S&S ISA (HSBC GIC). Under the new rules, am I allowed to additionally open a flexible easy-access Cash ISA, fund it with the £10,000 intended for the S&S ISA, then use that to drip-feed the S&S ISA? Thanks in advance for any replies.

A question on 16 year olds, Junior ISAs and Adult Cash ISAs
Hi there, I'm trying to find a definitive answer to the following question as the web has given unclear answers: Can a 16 year old pay £9000 into a Junior cash ISA and £20,000 into a Cash ISA in the same tax year? In effect giving them £29,000 of tax free savings. Thanks for your help, Banana92

Coventry ISAs 2024/25
The new ISA regime is only days away but the Coventry Building Society is unsure what to do: Some providers may allow you to open multiple accounts with them in the same tax year. At Coventry Building Society, we're still considering the best way to embrace this new flexibility. Paying into an ISA you haven't paid into…

Anyone transferred a cash isa to Zopa?
A few weeks back someone posted that their transfer to Zopa had failed. Apparently this was due to a fault in Zopa's system whereby it couldn't accept an amount that differed to that declared during the opening process but on closing the transferring account, interest gets added thus resulting in a discrepancy between the…
