Simple answer is no, the NCB is per car on the policy.

However if she can demonstrate a number of years of trouble free driving, some insurance companies will offer introductory NCBs. Shop around and also try some insurance brokers as well as the online / phone companies.

i agree
5 years ago we bought a second car (due to me changing jobs and needing a car to get to work)

our insurance had always been in my name, the insurance company we where with, when we took out insurance in her name, allowed 3/4 of my no claims, which meant she needed 1 year without claims to get full no claims.

so it does depend on which insurance comapny you use

I have my insurance with more than and I believe they allow a spouse to duplicate the NCB of the policy holder.

TRY DIAMOND INSURANCE SEPECIAL POLICIES FOR WOMEN THEY DO A 10 MONTH POLICY TO QUALIFY FOR EARLY NCB
