hi, would anyone recommend any clutch service centres that supply and fix clutches in north or west london?
iv got a toyota avensis which needs its clutch changed, and am getting quoted prices from £270 to £350, bit out of my league i recogn.
if anyone knows of anybody who has reasonable charges to change the clutch, it would be excellent to know,
thanks in advance,
Skiddy

http://www.mrclutch.com lots of branches - lowish prices, 'cos they, mainly use reconditioned parts.you still have a warranty, of course.
Also plenty of independent repairers can be Luk clutch centres - this is a good brand, offering 2year guarantees, usually.
Are there any geabox centres near you - they can sometimes be VERY fast - so should be cheaper.

Beware of Mr Clutch.
I'm not sure that they use reconditioned parts, and they will use LUK parts if you ask them to, but they recently quoted me a price that was about £70 cheaper than the local main dealer. Half-way through the job they call to say that the flywheel needs skimming and the gearbox oil needs replacing which funnily enough comes to about £70.
The local main dealer would have included that in the price anyway, it's standard stuff for a clutch change (I've since learnt!). Beware.
