Hi
Can anyone please help me in telling me where I can have number plates made with the Liverpool emblem on.
I am wanting to have some made but struggling to find out where does them.
Thanks in advance
Jules
Take it they are for show plates as on the road they will be illegal and give the coppers a reason to stop you.
Got my plates from GT Grafix http://www.demonplates.com/

Hi
Thanks. No not for show but to go on his car. I only mean the logo on the left hand side like when people have them saying GB.
He has had one on his previous car for a number of years but this has got water damaged.
Thanks
Jules

Hi,
There is some info here on number plates and emblems>
http://www.regtransfers.co.uk/main/car_numberplates_regulations.asp
The rules changed in 2001 and if the plates aren't correct and your car needs an MOT you will either get hit for another set of plates or fail MOT  ... I had a plate that was made up in 2000 (with the correct spacing and font for the time it was made and if I had not let the garage make me up a new set with the font and spacing in the new style the car would have failed)
The chap was kind enough to put the old plates in the boot (not entirely sure they are allowed to do this or not though  )

Hello shopaholicjules
I'll move your thread to the 'Motoring & Public Transport' board.
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule (http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=1009335#post1009335)) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com (abuse@moneysavingexpert.com).
Regards
Nile
Plenty of places on the internet will put whatever you want on a plate*, look at ebay, loads of sellers on there. A footbal team crest on a plate is not legal, and (although unlikey) you may get stopped by the police and fined. Also the car shouldn't pass an MOT. If you wish to get across the message that you support Liverpool may I suggest the cheaper, legal, option of a bumper/window sticker.
*To prove this point I once bought a bike where the previous owner had a plate made up with the swastika on it

They're still illegal and the Police are tightening up on them.

Hi
Thanks for all your replies.
He has had the same number plate on his old car for a number of years and there has been no problems.
I have looked on Ebay and searched on google and am still struggling to find one.
Can anyone point me in the right direction of a website where I can get one.
It is to go on the car and not just to keep in the house.
Thanks
Jules
I take on board those people who are saying it is illegal but as no problems for last however many years, he would still like to get one
There's loads of number plate makers on ebay who will put any picture/logo on a plate, just ask them.
The ebay search 'show plate' brings back over 1000 results

As per my first post:
GT Grafix http://www.demonplates.com/
Go through the plate builder and symbols and they have the Liverpool Crest which you can select and see the Plates before you buy them, great plates and quick Service. I got standard plates with the GB Euro Logo and 3D Carbon Lettering, look the Dogs and Legal.

They probably have one on display but I very much doubt if they sell them.
in my local market theres a guy who makes every sort of plate with any photo you want (has a list of pics)
If you must do it even though it's now illegal, why not just find a completely separate stick-on badge, then you can't be clobbered for the cost of new plates, and just peel it off if challenged
