This is a great freebie if you have a young lad or lass that is interested in electrical circuitry.
Here they can connect up virtual wires and circuits without electrocuting themselves to see what effect it will have.

bells, Lights, Switches, Capacitors, Etc can all be included in the circuit.
There is a 'Talk thru' which will demonstrate the program.

All good fun.

These virtual light experiments allow students to use lasers and optical tools to safely investigate the nature of light, reflection and mirrors, refraction and lenses, and the color of light.
Includes over 40 lab worksheets and meets national standards for Science Education.

Special features include reference materials from the World Book Encyclopedia and Virtual Manipulatives that help students make the connection between concrete and abstract concepts.

You will need to come up with an American address, Phone number and Zip code. find any american site and use their address - I did.

You also need to give Credit Card details as usual but you will not be charged anything. If you have a non-confirmed card then use that. I did.

Click Here (http://www.broderbund.com/jump.jsp?itemID=280&mainPID=280&itemType=PRODUCT&RS=1&keyword=virtual) for the free software.

This is from Broderbund. A large american software company.

Have fun.

Have you installed and tried this yet?

I've just had a quick glance at the Broderbund site and it appears the program description you give may be for the Riverdeep Interactive product: http://rivapprod2.riverdeep.net/portal/page?_pageid=353,155790,353_155791&_dad=portal&_schema=PORTAL

Reading between the lines I wondered if the download is the function limited demo referred to here: http://www.computeractive.co.uk/vnunet/downloads/2128525/virtual-labs-electricity

Sounds a good find if it's the full 'I am'.

Cheers,

Bubba.

Hi Bubba,

I have installed it and found no limitations so far.

I'm pretty sure it's the 'full blown thing'

Good fun, even for grownups.
