how to reprogramme a mondeo remote control ?

hi

ok so my hubby changed our batteries yesterday but took too long to do it and now the remote wont lock or unlock the car.

does anyone here know how to reprogramme the remote without paying a garage loads ?

It tells you how in our Focus manual for the car. Some special sequence of putting key in ignition and pressing buttons. If you don't have the manual I can check our Focus procedure tonight, should be the same?

Could be - key in ignition, turn on ignition and press lock on remote with ignition on. Finally press unlock if doors locked initially. Switch off and remove.
However, someone with more Ford knowledge could come along and advise differently or confirm.

thanks, i did try 2 ways listed on mirez but they didnt work, i checked our manual and all it said was to contact your local dealer to get it reset

Key in ignition, turn on and off 4 times. Hear a beep. Then it should work

try asking the local garage over the phone first to see if you need to part with money or if they can explain it over the phone

did mine last week,turn on/off 4 times in 10 secs..red led on dash should flash..hold any lock button til led stays lit....
