Traffic Management Act 2004

What else happens now the TMA has comes into force in England and Wales?

Councils can use closed-circuit television (CCTV) devices to enforce parking regulations.
There is no longer a need for a Penalty Charge Notice to be placed on a vehicle or handed to a driver for it to be properly served.
If a vehicle is driven away before the Notice is issued, it may be posted to the registered keeper of the vehicle.
If a Civil Enforcement Officer, for whatever reason, is unable to serve the Notice, it may be posted to the registered keeper or owner of the vehicle.
If a Penalty Charge Notice is issued using a CCTV device, it may be posted.
Councils outside London can take enforcement action over vehicles parked on dropped kerbs or more than 50 cm away from the kerb and double-parked vehicles.

Unless your name is Andrew Flintoff, of course

Unless you could argue that the goods you were carrying were in fact treatment for the shits like our God (sorry Sir Alex Ferguson for you mere mortals!) did a few years back.

Hi vij1366, I've moved this thread over to the Motoring Board :)

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule (http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=1009335#post1009335)) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com (abuse@moneysavingexpert.com).

You parked illegally, you got a ticket. The fact it's Sunday is irrelevent if the signage indicated the restriction was still in force. The fact you were carrying your shopping is irrelevent.

ffs. Before you worry about paying anything, check that the painted lines are actually legal. If they're not, then no offence has been committed.
