I have found a car via the internet that I'm interested in from a reputable local garage. 2004/04 Vauxhall Corsa 1.3 CDTi Energy with only 20 miles on the clock. The price looks quite low in comparison with others of a similar age. Are there problems with showroom model cars that I should be aware of?

20 miles in 8 years. I think that should read 20,000 and it is a typo./ way of getting to the top of the listing.
Still with 20k £3489 is a good price.
Showroom ?? Do you mean it is an ex demonstrator?

Don't even think about buying a car that has been sitting doing nothing for 4 years - no matter how cheap. The car is ruined - oil seals will have perished and dried-out, brakes also will need to be replaced. Warranty has gone.
Cars are for driving not for sitting in showrooms.
The car will be trouble and no matter how cheap will be a waste of money.
There is a strange belief that cars with low mileage are somehow better than one with high-mileage. My experiences suggest otherwise !!

I agree, a friend once bought a 12 year old Astra that had only covered 16k miles, one elderly owner etc.
I got the job of fitting it's replacement engine for him due to all rings being seized and broken, rusted and scored bores etc
