I'm on an ongoing quest to find the best new car finance or arrangement deals to suit my pocket at the moment; Peugeot Finance is one I'm looking at currently. I was offered a deal via Ford today, but have turned it down as I'm not happy with the APR and I'm not desperate either (as I informed them too, lol)! ;)
As I'm being conscious of the amount of credit searches ('footprints') on my file at the moment and within the last 6/12 months, I'm now treading carefully. I don't have CCJs and my credit history is 'fair' I'd say.
I've applied for Peugeot Finance using their 0% APR passport scheme today on a new car (great monthly amount of £240) and on checking my credit file online, there's been no credit search as yet, which is odd (unless of course it simply hasn't happened yet!). It was put through by the salesman and awaiting a decision via their 'underwriters' at Peugeot Finance, so I'm wondering if anyone is aware of their selection/acceptance criteria (e.g. is it possible they don't do a normal credit search and have other criteria to go on?).
My P/X is going as full deposit (which I own outright) and a value of £6500.
Anyone who's had dealings or has knowledge or info concerning Peugeot Finance would be really helpful. :)
Many thanks in advance.
