View Full Version : Cheap Smell-alikes - Cheaper alternatives to Expensive Perfumes

Hi, I'm probably not the best person to create this thread, but I have been searching for a cheap smell-alike to Dolce Vita EDT perfume. It costs around £30 for 50ml and the smell doesn't even linger for that long (sadly there's no EDP version to save re-applying).
Does anyone know of a Dolce Vita Smell-alike? or of any other smell-alikes?
Could you list them in this thread?
Thank you xx

I ordered from this site a while ago and can recommend it
http://www.perfume-parlour.co.uk/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=2
They are perfume oils rather than liquid perfume and come in a roll on,there are various sizes.
I ordered 3 different designer(type) ones and they all smell virtually identical to the real perfume. They are very reasonably priced and I see Dolce Vita is on the list so it is worth a try.

I bought some from Coventry market yesterday, I got Bondage (Jean Paul Gaultier) and Spirit of Shadow (Ghost)
Both smell exactly the same as the original, and the JPG one is even the same orangy colour as the real one
Now if I can just find some Ghost anticipation.......

These look brilliant - I hope they are safe to use on the skin, I'm paranoid about these things. Do you wear it directly on your skin? How long does the fragrance last without you having to top up - I'd like to know because then I can work out how many I should buy.

Anyone ever get those mini spray samples in the post or from the orange faced women at makeup counters?
When they are empty, remove the top and pull out the spring plunger (you may need some pliers here but its not rocket science). Be careful that the little spring doesnt get lost - it looks like the ones in pens.
squire a few drops of your fave perfume or aftershave guys into the bottle, top up with plain water and replace spring plunger.
Dead easy and you have a nice little portable spritzer to carry with you at all times.
I have loads of these so can have different scents at all times.

The amounts are quite small and I would be concerned that if the claims are true, these concentrates may damage jewellery, delicate fabrics, watches, and sensitive skins.

I don't have a particularly sensitive skin, but I didn't have any rashes or any other problems using these. You apply the roll-on directly to the skin.
The fragrance of the three that I bought all lasted well,as long as a normal perfume would, bearing in mind that some perfumes smell stronger than others anyway. The Issey Miyake type lasted nearly all day from one application.

The amounts don't sound very much,I agree.I bought the smallest size because I wasn't sure if I would like them, the roll-on is about the size of a lipstick. They only cost a few pounds however.
As I said in my reply above,I haven't had any skin reactions, but if you have sensitive skin,it may be wise to contact the website if you have any concerns.I avoided getting any of the oil on jewellery.
, I got Boudoir (Jean Paul Gaultier) and Spirit of Shadow (Ghost)
...
That is strange that they would call a copy of a perfume the same as an original by another perfumier (sp). I wear boudoir by vivienne westwood so was getting excited that there might be a cheaper way to smell divine :p

just registered today and £1 is credited to the account! P&P is free! Found Cinabar which I've only seen for about £50 before and CKin2U which is still overpriced in most shops.
Both for £3.50 all told. Very happy, Thanks anniewoo

I am a real perfume snob I'm afraid and love my designer smells. This site looks amazing but I am worried that the aroma will match the price. The sizes would be just perfect for holidays however. I think I will just hang on until I have got some feedback from you Fern Merkin. Don't forget to come and report back. Thanks.

Hi,
I ordered some perfume from the perfume parlour a few days ago, I opted to pay by cheque by mistake so contacted them and said I wanted to pay by debit card, they asked if I had a paypal account (which I had) so sent me an invoice and I paid, the money has now come out of my account. According to my account my order is still pending, even though I have paid and the money has gone from my account. I have contacted them several times but have received no reply. Has anyone had problems with this company? Is the pending order normal, when the money has been taken (I have not received a receipt for my payment.)
Many thanks

Just ordered 3ml Joop for DH and Kenzo Flower for me!not bad for £3.50 total - will update once i receive them.
I find that ordinary perfumes dissappear after a hour or two, so hoping that these will be longer lasting.
Thanks for the tip!

Sorry to hear you are having trouble. I have found their communication quite good as one of the items I ordered was out of stock and they helped me pick another I would like. My order has been delayed by this so not received yet.
Hope it works out ok.

Good to know that you have received your order MXW. Will you re-post when you have had a chance to use it for a day or so. I would be interested to know if the smell is authentic, if it is long lasting and importantly, does it affect your skin at all.
Thank you.

Well, order arrived and I can thoroughly recommend the products.
My hubby got Joop, which he hasn't actually been able to afford for ages, and it smells EXACTLY the same - bought back a few memories and made me go a bit funny inside !!!:o :o :o
I got Flowers by Kenzo, which is lovely , but I've never had the original, so can't compare.
they last for about 6 hours without fading, if not longer.
Well worth the money.

I ordered two non-designer perfume oils from the Perfume Parlour website on Sunday. I opted to pay by credit card via google checkout and that went through smoothly. The oils arrived today and I'm very pleased with both them and the fast delivery.
The reason I didn't go for designer ones is because I'm currently using up two genuine designer sprays, but once they're done I fully intend to go trawling round the perfume counters to find a new scent I like and I'll then get the smell alike oil from the Perfume Parlour.
Once I saw that they had Arabian Fragrances on the site, I suspected the oils would be very good, purely based on the probably not very scientific fact that my ex-OH had worked in Saudi years ago and had brought me back a lovely little velvet box with six bottles of smell alike oil in them. They were EXACTLY like the perfumes they were based on and were gorgeous! I thought that it was likely that the Perfume Parlour was selling much the same thing. :)
I'm definitely going to use them again and based on my experience, I would recommend them! Thank you anniewoo! :)

Yes, everything is fine now. They emailed back saying they had cancelled one of the duplicate orders. I have then received an invoice via PayPal which I have now paid. Looking forward to receiving my oils.
I still have a good supply of my favourite smellies (the genuine article) but I am going away in June so I thought having the tiny smell-alikes would be just perfect to take on holiday. Only 20kg luggage allowance so I need lots of room for other vital items like shoes:rotfl:

I have just had a phone call from Perfume Parlour because one of the items I had requested was out of stock. The guy was very helpful and I had a nice conversation with him. He says they have only just started offering PayPal because it is quite expensive for them to use. Apparently they have adjusted their site now so that after electing to pay by PayPal, a message will appear saying they will send an email invoice for the payment. I have been really impressed with their service so far. I have not had my order yet obviously but I have very high hopes after other people's comments on this site.
I mentioned to the caller that I had seen their name on this site and he confirmed that he knew about it and had now put a note regarding moneysavingexpert.com on his site.
Just an update. After using my perfume for a few days, I can confirm that it does last and smells like the real thing! Excellent!

My order arrived this morning. That is amazing service as I was only speaking to them yesterday afternoon and was told it would be dispatched last night. I have immediately put on Estee Lauder's Beyond Paradise which I love so keep the real thing for special occasions. It certainly smells like the genuine article. The packaging is really cute. I will report back on how long the smell lasts etc.

Mine arrived today too and I'm very impressed, they smell just like the real thing. I also got an email from them late last night explaining that the after-shaves shouldn't be used straight after shaving as they don't have alcohol in but giving advice on how to use them. Excellent customer service. :T

I have now had a chance to "test-drive" all my smell-alikes and they are super. I think the Estee Lauder White Linen is perhaps not as successful as the others. Not unpleasant but perhaps not quite like the real thing but that is just nit picking. The smell really lasts and as it is dispensed via a tiny roller ball, you hardly seem to use any at all.
The service by Perfume Parlour was excellent. I will definitely be back for more. A big thumbs up to the original poster for a terrific find.:T

I was watching this thread but didnt buy @ first because there was no paypal, now it 's changed, and because the feedback was so positive I ordered a few last week, (Thanks all)

Like others I had a little trouble paying with paypal, but I emailed them, they got back to me and it was sorted out, they sent me an invoice. I recieved my order today and am really pleased. Ysatis (for me) The smell is dead on, long lasting (6 hrs), and then did nt fade into a totally different smell after just soften.
Gucci pour homme I've never smelt the original so cant compare, my bf seems okish about it, he says theres a little difference.
But for both of us Boss bottled is a winner, really smells like the real thing, and long lasting (6 hrs b4 fading) brilliant!!!
I will definatly be buying again Thanx all :T

I noticed that some of Next's perfumes and M&S perfumes are like copies of designer one. Not sure just at the top of my head which is which but if you analyse the packaging and smells they are very similar. eg Nexts: beyond paradise, issay miyake, M&S , Angel, Hugo Boss Red, the new Givenchy one (tall pink bottle)

I have found that you can roll the bottle on quite a few times but not that much comes out. It is obviously quite thick. I have used my Beyond Paradise a few times and the bottle looks as full as when it arrived. I think you can be as generous as you like and at those prices why not?

Not exactly a 'smellalike' but a good friend of mine is into bpal - http://www.blackphoenixalchemylab.com/
It's all different sorts of amps that you can mix to create your own perfume/ready made ones with forums that you can swap etc if you get one you don't like/want to try some without buying another one and they really last.
And the descriptions of some are so beautiful:
BAOBHAN SITH
The ghostly White Women of the Scottish highlands. They seduce unwary travelers by night with their unearthly beauty and mesmerizing dancing. They engage their victims in a wild, hypnotic dance, and once they reach exhaustion, exsanguinate their partners with their vampiric kiss. Grapefruit, white tea, apple blossom and ginger.
ETA: The main site is in the US as are some of the swapee's so it does mean you post out to/get post in from the USA etc

I have been using this company for about three years. The perumes are brilliant!! I've ordered quite a few different scents and at the moment I'm using the Coco type and my boyfriend the John Paul Gaultier type. They smell exactly the same as the original. My boyfriend can't use aftershave on his skin so we roll a bit under his shirt collar and if the shirt isn't washed for a couple of days the smell is just as good as when it was first put on. I would definately recommend to all.

great service & communication. i got the 3 x 8ml for £12.
Amarige - spot on.
Eternity Moment - never smelt it before, smells quite a bit like Ralph Lauren Romance. ok, will see how it changes.
Sensi - my absolute fave & now flippin discontinued! so was really hoping this would be good - unfortunately, doesn't quite hit the spot...bit too musky/woody. it smells nice, but just 'not' Sensi (oh well, back to ebay i go).

Excellent service and I am pleased with all my purchases. I can thoroughly recommend Perfume Parlour. The size of the vials make them ideal for travel or for having in your handbag for a top-up. Not that you need to top-up very often as the smells last very well.

don't worry. you can walk into any Islamic shop and find a small range of perfumes oils aka Atthar. i bought a lot for only £2 each. same 6ml.
Islam prohibits alcohol, which is the main content of perfumes and scents here and so aromatic oils are the scents mainly from Arabia.
though the range is smaller compared to the selection on the website i think they can easily import others.
just google, perfume oils and a range of alternative suppliers come up.

i received my order on Saturday but i was wondering if anyone else was having any issues with the roller balls ? they seem to only work occasionally and seem very cheap and nasty
i ordered angel gucci rush clinique happy and an old fav of obsession
the angel is lovely the rush i cant seem to get hardly any out same for the happy and havent tried the obsession yet but not sure its that authentic
after reading about everyone raving about them on here i have to say i am more than a little disapointed with this purchase

Sorry to hear that you are disappointed daisy. Yes, I know what you mean about the roller balls. Some are more difficult to roll than than others. It is very easy to pull the stopper completely out and just apply directly from the bottle then pop the thingie back in to stop leakage. I do this with some of the oils but others work just fine.
I have only found one of my oils not to smell like the original and that was Calvin Klein Truth. It is not horrible but not quite right. I have got a good collection of the oils now but my two favourites are Issey Miyake and Estee Lauder's Beyond Paradise. I own the actual designer fragrances and the copies are spot-on IMHO. I now keep the real thing for going out and use the oils everyday. At those prices you can easily afford to smell gorgeous at all times:j

Hi
I've used this site. most perfumes are £10 for 35 ml, but they have offers every month when certain perfume oils are half price.
I've just received a knowing type. It's identical to knowing and lasts all day long. They have a large selection of oils, including new perfumes and more established ones. The only thing is, I don't think they have smaller sizes.
I can't tell you about the men's ones, because my partner is a snob and refuses to try them!

I love my perfumes but, like a lot of us at the moment, I'm not prepared to spend a fortune on it. One of my favourites is Chanel Allure and I have been wearing the fabulous alternative of Marks & Spencer's Autograph New York fragrance at £12 for 100ml as a great substitute.
I've been searching for similar cheaper smell alikes but haven't really found many. Apparently M&S Isis is like an Issey Miyake fragrance and lots of the forum users like the smell alike perfume oils from www.perfume-parlour.co.uk (http://www.perfume-parlour.co.uk).
I have been searching for smell alike of Lancome's Hypnose and Chanel's Chance but haven't really found much at all on cheaper alternatives. I thought we could try and start a definitive list. Does anyone know of any cheaper or own brands like Next, M&S or Coty smell alike fragrances?

I think Lush's Honey I washed the kids solid perfume smells similar to Thierry Mugler Innocent Angel, and their Go Green similar to Calvin Klein CK1. Not an exact match but if you like one you'd probably like the other.

I've done a bit more research and have found these comparisons;
Avon's "Be...Kissable" (discontinued but probably lots on Ebay smells like Clinique's "Happy Heart"
Avon Timeless smells like Miss Dior
Coty L'Aimant smells like Chanel No. 5
Avon's Soft Musk smells like DK Cashmere Mist
Coty's Exclamation smells like Lancome's Tresor

Oh, come on girls! Someone must have some suggestions.....
I've found some more comparisions anyway;
The Body Shop's White Musk For Men is like Prada Infusion D'iris
Boots Mediterranean Bergamot, Orange and Olive Bath Cream smells like Marc Jacobs Fig
Marks and Spencer's True Red smells like Angel (and it lasts longer apparently).

The perfumes from Next also seem like 'smell-alikes' but as i have never bought perfumes from them - i can't really say which is which - but i think they may be alikes of AmorAmor, Paradise, (that;s off top of my head from what i remember the bottles looking alike and smelling alike too.) I think they change their range sometimes, i;ll check some out and edit later.
btw you could make a 'definitive list' at the top/beginning of your thread so it could be a 'quick guide' ,,, especially if this thread goes on to pages..
also, i thought the perfume parlour (is it the one that sell the alcohol free perfumes oils?), stopped business??

Well, I went to M&S and Debenhams yesterday to do some comparisons. In my opinion, Marks and Spencers Perfection is very like Chanel's Chance. I got my sister to do a "blind" smell test and she said they smelt the same but one was stronger than the other (the Chanel was eau de parfum).

The reason i think why a lot of people wouldnt buy copies is because the fragrance probably wouldnt last very long and thats the reason i wouldnt buy Avon or M&S becasue i would think i was wasting my money but hopefully i will be corrected by someone.

The oils from Perfume Parlour smell just like the real thing. Because they are concentrated they last very well on the skin.
I placed an order with them yesterday and have had an email today saying they have been dispatched. I have always been very pleased with my purchases from them.

I've just ordered a key-ring rollon for me and my stepmum, Chanel Allure, which I've never sniffed but SM says she likes it.
My favourite ever perfume was/is Chanel No22, which is like gold-dust but probably more expensive. I'm wondering if there's an equivalent to the Perfume Parlour in the US, where No22 is still sold - although I'm told that the version available today is inferior to the one I used in the 60s. I had the perfume and the EdT. Nothing comes close  ... for me.
I bought a YSL Paris smell-alike oil from eBay years ago, it was great when I mixed it with un-smelly body lotion.

I ordered from Perfume Parlour a couple of days ago - unfortunately they had a problem with the item, the container had tarnished, so they emailed me suggesting an alternative (they'd tried to phone me but as usual my mobile was languishing somewhere out of ear-shot, running down its battery).
As this is quite an old thread and hasn't been updated since September, I thought I'd give it a bump for fellow moneysavers who can't/won't afford their favourite scents, and I'll let you know what I think of the Chanel Allure I've ordered - although I've never smelt it before, I'm looking for a substitute for the real Chanel No22, I'd happily die and go to heaven if I could get that in the perfume or EdP.

I placed an order with Perfume Parlour on Sunday and received my oils yesterday. Cracking service. I have re-ordered some of my favourites and am trying a couple of others. They are Euphoria and Be Delicious. I am not familiar with the originals, admittedly in this case. I am wearing the Be Delicious now. It is very nice and fresh smelling.
I also ordered some oils for my daughter and a friend who have commented on how good I smell! I spilled the beans and let them in on the act. I am sure they will be pleased.
Good luck veronarona on your quest for Chanel 22. I wonder if it is worth emailing Perfume Parlour and asking them if they would make some for you? Just a thought.

The avon reps get a magazine which sometimes mentions their new perfumes being similar to the big names. The avon play for her they say is similar to clinique happy. I've heard too that m&S and next copy the popular perfumes. I bought a gift set for myself from next with their mini perfumes and they are very nice, i was surprised as i've always worn expensive perfumes. Might have to try m&S issy M copy.

I've received my Allure from Perfume Parlour. Lovely idea, little pot of EdT with an atomiser to dispense it into. But I thoroughly dislike the perfume - whether it's this Allure or Allure per se that I hate, I do not know. The initial hit has the same effect as the genuine Allure Sensuelle had on me.

Hi sausage cat,
a while ago I started a thread over at the Shop but Don't drop Forum about this issue:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=599666
Here is what i found out:
Hi,
I just read a thread that Peanuts started (http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=598042) about Marks and Spencer fragrances and designer brands.
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=598042
and decided to start one generic about high street stores own brands (M&S, Next, etc) and how they mimick designer perfumes.
Borrowing from the above thread to start this one (hope that is all right), here are some correspondances:
M&S Isis is close to Issey Miyake (thanks WelshLamb): purse spray 25 ml is £5 and now on 342.
M&S Perfection is close to Coco Chanel (thanks Peanuts): purse spray 25 ml is £5 and now on 342.
NEXT 'just pink' smells just like Ralph Laurens 'romance' (thanks jeni-b): 75ml bottle of Just Pink is £10
It would be great if any of you could share your tips, especially since there are several promotions in the runup to Xmas in these stores.
I promise to updated this post with any tips you give. Thanks.

I ordered a few 3ml perfume oils from perfume parlour and got them today. Excellent service - they arrived within 2 days of me ordering! The oils are very well presented; in little glass bottles with screw-on tops and roller balls for dispensing the oil. They are also very clearly labelled.
I ordered the following:
Allure (Men) - Smells very similar to what I remember it smelling like (it's been a few years).
CKBe - The worst of the bunch. Quite smiliar, not unpleasant, but not quite there.
Joop Jump (Men) - Dead on.
Diesel (Men) - Dead on.
Brut (Men) - Dead on
Cool Water (Men) - Dead on
Anais Anais (Women) - My g/f said it isn't exactly the same but smells similar. Still a very nice fragrance.
Chocolate Mint - Not designer but smells just like it describes. Will be very useful for an oil burner.
All in all I'm very pleased. For around £15 (can't remember the exact price) I've got some amazingly authentic fragrances. I've ordered a few more too. The 3ml bottles will last me ages as only a very, very small amount comes out when applied.
I put some of the Allure oil on a couple of hours ago and it's still smelling strongly. Lasts much longer on skin than I remember the original doing.
I cannot reccomend this website enough. Free delivery too. Excellent company!

I received a few more oils today. I ordered the following:
-Joop
-Joop Jump
-CK Crave
-Fahrenheit
-Hugo Boss
-Tommy Hilfiger
-Aqua Elements (Boss)
-Cool Water Deep
-FCUK
-Burberry Brit
All of them smell absolutely fantastic. I have the original Burberry Brit and Joop fragrances and the smell is identical. I used to have Tommy Hilfiger and Hugo Boss and the oils also smell identical to them. As far as I can tell, all of the other oils are virtually indistinguishable from the originals.
The oils arrived within 24 hours of the order being processed. Again, I'm amazed at the customer service.
I just cannot see why anyone would pay £20-£40 a pop for a designer fragrance when these can be had for so cheap.
I'm so glad I stumbled on this thread.

I'm not a big fan of the 'perfume counter' type perfumes. I don't care how much you pay for them, they always seem a bit unsubtle and there's a strong whack of 'chemical' when you first put them on. I loved a L'Occitane fragrance which is now discontinued. However I then discovered the fragrance sprays that Soap and Glory are doing in Boots. Utterly addictive and a fantastic price (especially on 3 for 2). And they don't asphyxiate everyone around you!

Marks and Spencer have a new scent out called "Sensuale". Its £12 for a 100ml bottle and is on buy 1 get one half price at the moment too. I find this is very much like Coco Mademoiselle but not as strong.
Next have a perfume called "Flowers" which is a total rip-off of Daisy by Mark Jacobs. Its £10 for 100ml or £10 for the gift set.
If you want the genuine articles, I got myself a bottle of Lancome's Miracle Forever 50ml EDP from Au Naturale for £16.20 this week. Its usually £18 but they had 10% off for mother's day. Boots sell the same bottle for £48! Au Naturale sell quite a few brands at good prices, Amarige, Very Irrisistible, Beckham, Burberry, Jade Goody, etc.

Had great service from the site, even though one of the oils was out of stock. I would absolutely recommend them, I don't like the tiny roller ball tops though and will be ordering the large spray bottles when my out of stock oil comes back in to stock, they are only about £6.50 though so quite cheap.
Might never go back to paying £50 a bottle ever again.
I matched the smell of one of the oils to my regular perfume and it was nearly as exact match - and absolutely good enough to getaway with / wear to work etc etc.
The smell doesn't last all day - but then couldn't smell my proper perfume at the end of the day either.
But at these prices you can afford to reapply at lunch time - I might change my stance on this though once my spray bottles arrive as these are probably a lot easier to apply than the roller ball.

After a disappointing purchase from a cheap smell-alike site, I went off my rocker and paid about £70 for some Chanel No22 EdT from the US... and then the Customs & Royal Mail hit me for a further £30
So you can imagine my chagrin when my brother said "Have you been running that swirly air freshener again?" (he meant my Goodsphere), "there's a really sickly sweet smell in the place".
*sob*
But there's something* in that scent that sends me :A and it's wonderful to get a whiff of it after 40 years, though it doesn't last nearly as long as the perfume did.
*From what I've read on perfume 'review' sites, it could be aldehydes that I'm a sucker for.

Hi, guys,
Just wanted to share my experience with perfume parlour. I ordered a few 3ml roll-ons and am still trying them, However I have to say, it is quite hard to get the liquid out. My experience with the Stella smell-alike was disappointing. The scent is OK (all Stellas are similar, so this falls somewhere within the stella scope). However, it lasts less than 1 hour on my skin. And I tried to be pretty liberal with the scent on my neck and wrists. I have a stella body lotion from a Marie Claire offer and the scent lasts ages. So very disappoining. Will report back on the time the others last.
The service was nice, fast delivery.
Armani Code Woman: the roll-on lasts about 5 hours. and the scent is similar.
I also got a Alcohol Free Perfume Oil Spray for £6.
However this was stella again, so the scent seems to fade away quickly. However it came in a plastic bottle and with the spray bottle needing to be filled. I filled it and the plastic bottle still has about 4/5 left, so I will be able to fill it often. Even though the scent is not lasting and spot on, I intend to use it in my purse and for this is really convenient. There are not a lot of cheap smaller sprays to carry in the purse, so I think I will be using perfume parlour often - I spray the original one in the morning and them top-up with the smell-alike during the day.
I don't think anyone has mentioned this advantage of buying smell-alikes from M&S or Next or the sprays/ roll-ons from perfume parlour: you pay a lot for a 10 ml original spray to carry in your purse. For instance Estee lauder does 5 4ml miniatures for about £30, but you need to get 5 different ones, so they are only practical if you have the 5 big fragrances as well at home. The last time I saw their 10ml sprays they were about £20  So these are nice, cheap options to smell nice and the same throughout the day.

If anyone is using the same perfume and it seems to be wearing off sooner than it used to, therefore requiring re-application, try asking your work colleagues if they can still smell it.
There's a woman at work, thankfully I work in a different building to her, she smells likes she bathes in the stuff, the smell is as pungent - I can smell her about 200 yards away.
I reckon she's so used to the smell she doesn't notice it, so puts more on.(like I couldn't smell smoke that much when I was a smoker but I notice it easily now)
Trouble is she's smells sickening to those around her.So please consider a change of scent every once in a while instead of pouring more on....
it'd be very moneysaving :money: to go without perfume most of the time, and it might even make your work colleagues feel they can stand to be a bit closer to you!:p

I ordered three small roll ons from Perfume Parlour which arrived quickly. My first impressions are:
Issey Miyake Woman: very good likeness. I love this one and it has retained fragrance for hours.
Gucci Envy Me: I actually ordered Gucci Envy, so I'm not the best judge of this one (which I will keep anyway). It smells a bit like palma violets, but then I think Envy Me might do too!
Acqua di Gio: Umm first impressions were that this was an approximation but not identical. However, it seems to improve after an hour or so and is very pleasant.
Overall, these are a very good buy. I agree the roll on bit doesn't roll very easily but at that price I'm not bothered, as the fragrance does roll sufficiently to do its job.
Thanks OP for a real MSE find.

Chanel have reformulated their boutique fragrances, No22 is in there. Now only avalible in the Exculsives at 200ml size and £100+. I bought No22 from ebay about two years ago, had to wait ages to find ir from an Amercian seller for £22 and asked if they would mark it as lower to avoid customs. They did and it was brand new and it is a real power house as the Chanels usually are, because of the aldehydes. I have a small decant of the parfum which is sadly discontinued now.
I used to buy loads of decants 5 or 10 mls from ebay but LVMH and the french court case put an end to the selling of perfume decants.
For those buying the oils becareful to keep them out of sunlight as they can turn quite quickly.
My trouble is I love the niche brands which places don't make smell alikes of.

Well, my Aromatics Elixir-alike arrived with lightning speed so I was impressed by this seller before I even tried the oil. It smells very like the real thing, not absolutely identical, but this could be because the oil is a lot stronger than the spray I'm used to. All in all it's fantastic bargain and I've just ordered two more for a surprise gift for a friend. It's just a shame they don't have any Arpege or Caleche smell-alikes or I'd have ordered those as well.

Hope this is the right place for feedback on this- got three scents through from perfume parlour this morning- ordered them at 5pm Thursday so quite impressed with the speed!
Pure Poison- exactly like the original- OH was v confused when I gave it him to smell...'but you've already got this one!'. In my defence I've only got a couple of squirts left and was not going to spend to replace it, so am delighted with this one.
Chanel Chance- haven't been able to afford this for a few years now, smells exactly like I remember.
212 on Ice- Haven't worn this for years so I may be wrong but I don't remember it smelling exactly like PPs version. However, it is a beautiful smell and I'll happily wear it. Of the three OH says that one is the nicest smelling, so I guess it doesn't matter that it's not exactly how I remember it.
Hope this helps someone.

I'd never actually tried the Daisy or Vera Wang as testers before, I ordered them because I'd read up on them on the internet and they sounded like scents which were similar to ones I already liked and at £2.25 there was no reason to not give them a try.
The scents I ordered for friends I already knew were ones they liked and they've all received an amazed and rapturous response. Every single one of them. The Carolina Herrera 212 and 212 Sexy were particularly well-received and my other chum swore that the Cacharel Noa-alike is identical to the original.
I'm going to put in a little order for myself this weekend and am enjoying trying to narrow down a selection. At that price I might just gradually work my way down the whole list, bar the ones I know I'm not fond of.

I've just ordered three - Flower Bomb, Coco Mademoiselle and Vera Wang Princess! So excited now!
Although, the website is really hard to use and looks ugly too. They should sort that out, it could be really wonderful!

It took me a few minutes to figure out how to select one of the scents once I'd decided on the size I wanted. Scroll right down to the bottom of the page and see the drop-down selector thingy.
GrammarGirl you'll get them in the post on Tuesday at the latest I expect, so could you post back on here about your selection? I'm interested in the Flower Bomb one myself

Of course, I've never bought the original Flower Bomb as it's so expensive, but I can certainly let you know if it smells nice and Princess and Coco Mademoiselle are my favourite perfumes so I'll know how good those two are! :)

Whoo hoo! Just 'found' this thread....why haven't I noticed it before?
Will look forward to reading it properly and checking out the site when get home from work later! Sounds promising.......... especially when I notice some of the discerning posters who seem to be approving;)
Have been on a mission to use up some of my perfumes this year and deliberately didn't ask for any for November birthday and Christmas or buy any at the airport as I usually do. Was only thinking this week, my selection was starting to look depleted. This could keep me going til Birthday/Christmas comes round again!

Hello! Got my perfumes this morning and am so pleased! Princess is spot on, Coco Mademoiselle isn't quite right but still smells delicious, and I've never had Flower Bomb before so don't know if it's a good copy but it smells lovely anyway so I'm pleased!
Thanks so much for the heads up, and thanks to whoever bumped this thread and brought it to my attention! :)

I've only used the Romance. It smells ok but doesnt last as long in my opinion. Bought The One for my H2B, it smelt really light and didnt last at all!!

Do you mean repackaged, as in made in the same factory with the same ingredients? Or simply smell-alike?

I'll definitely be giving Perfume Parlour a try when they're back from their holidays. Unfortunately they don't seem to do Armani She but I'll give a couple of random scents a go and see how I like them.
