Facial Oil - How to use?

Hi

Does anyone know how to properly use facial oils?

After being recommended their use on here a little while back I was lucky to get a sample of Shu Uemera Skin Purifier Cleansing Oil for just 99p on Ebay.

However there are no instructions.

I *think* I'm meant to rub it in using circular motions then rinse with water but not 100% sure!

hiya, i once had some clarins facial oil, just a free sample. after cleansing and toning i would tip a bit out onto fingertips to warm up then spread onto face in a sort outward and upward motion. did this on nightly routine and dont wash off. skin felt nice in morning. but only did it on evevning not morning. be careful not to get any in eye area though! stings a bit!

Using facial oil as part of a cleansing routine, you should always remove with toner afterwards.

Facial oil can be used as a cleanser or as a moisturiser....it tends to be better for drier skins as its texture is obviously pretty oily. I think Shu uemura tend to do cleansing oils so apply it and if need be remove it with a toner. Water won't effectively remove oil alone as the two don't mix. You could always call your local store and ask their advice?

yes, should point out the oil i had was a evening treatment without the need for moisturiser and leave overnight. if i were you id google it then youll probably find loads of reviews and instructions for use.

<<oily skin which is now slowly but surely balancing to a nice "normal" skin since using oils both to cleanse and moisturise. Please don't think that oils are just for dry skins, they do a marvellous job on oily skin

If what you have purchased is a cleansing oil, then warm some in your hands and gently massage in. I take about 5 mins. The a muslin cloth and hand hot water will remove all traces from your skin.

Just had a look at the ingredients in that, you will do as good a job with the caster oil/olive oil cleanser as linked to on the first page of Harry Harps thread for cheaper products
