Please use this thread to chat about the free cinema ticket offers :)

Please note that swapping of tickets should not be posted as it is against the site rules to exchange personal details. See here (http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=3477024&postcount=20).

If you obtained your tickets via seefilmfirst, you should email them so they can re-allocate your tickets.

If by change you cannot make it to a screening, we can give your ticket to someone else. Please let us know by e-mail on icantgo@seefilmfirst.com (icantgo@seefilmfirst.com)

Other than doing that, you can use sites like freecycle to give your tickets to someone :)

Yes - I thought this was general knowledge.
I've had a pair from Renault at least twice in the past and all you get is like a complimentary ticket.

I seem to remember that I was successful in DOUBLING their value.

But why are they going to the trouble in offering us tickets for specific films if the tickets they send out are for anything? Doesn't make sense to me at all.

Heatherw_01, thanks for opening a new thread and for removing the chat posts from the codes thread. If you could please move the posts for past screenings as well, the codes thread would be at least 12 posts lighter! :)

thanx - no there was a little confusion as i and hm71 won tickets but we couldnt remember why and someone said it was for 21 which we were both going to see anyway but getting them blank is better. just have to decide which blockbuster to save it for if i cant get free tickets to see indiana jones or batman though i have been hearing rumours about spiderman 4

I managed to get two tickets for Flashbacks of a Fool with the Express voucher (will go next Weds. to Greenwich Odeon to see it with my husband).

I tried all over the place to get tickets for 21 (that my daugther would have loved to see!) or In Bruges (that all my family want to see! Colin Farrell.... yummy... well maybe my husband has a different motivation from mine and my daughter's for wanting to see that film hehe) but had no success.

I entered the Time Out competition for In Bruges, crossing fingers on that!

I love winning film tickets! This forum is GREAT! THANK YOU ALL!

 Went to the Odeon at Manchester last night with tickets to watch "21" only to find having been seated for 15 mins,we had been directed to wrong screen!
As film started we realised it was "In Bruges" at which point we did not want to bother moving.Anyway as it turned out film was brilliant.:T
Anyone got any idea what next free film offers will be?:j

I might save them for Iron Man!!! was very surprised today when they were just Odeon comp tickets- couldn't help wondering why they don't just do a draw each month rather than a draw for a particular film.

New thread! Ok I went to see 21 on Monday at Vue Islington. Nice cinema, v.packed (although not as bad as when I saw TOBG). I enjoyed it, did seem to drag on a bit, but good story - a bit predictable. Liked the main character and Kevin Spacey and Laurence Fishburne were equally menacing in their opposing roles. I'd give it 8.5/10.

In Bruges at Greenwich last night, was in the larger screen 4 which was quite nice. ummm, not sure about this one. At times I thought it was good and then I felt quite bored. Someone on the old thread said it would work well as a play - I'd agree on that. I'd give it 6/10.

I wish someone had said about those yahoo tickets earlier then I'd have done my work email as well and got the whole family in over Easter! But its fab anyway.

In Bruges last night was wicked haven't been to a good 18 cert with a good looking guy (Colin Farrell) and a laugh in ages. A lot of the F word and some un-PC jokes but came out having really enjoyed it. 9/10

A while ago I signed up for the Showcase Insider Club because even though the cinema at Paisley isn't really that near me, I figured if anything really good came up I would take someone who didn't mind driving there. Just got my first ticket offer, for Flashbacks of A Fool, but it's the same night I'm already going to see In Bruges! The latter is in a cinema much nearer to me so I'll go to that, don't think I can give anyone my FOAF tickets because they have my name on them and you need to be a member of this 'club' to sign up for them, but figured I'd say in case anyone with a showcase cinema near them wanted to sign up quickly and they might offer another batch of tickets. The link to sign up is in the codes thread near the beginning.

Went to see In Bruges last night, found it funnier that some of the Comedies recently seen.

Don't know what was up with the audience in Milton Keynes last night, loads came in late, lots of coughing and one women sat munching on what sounded like a carrot:mad: ;) (loads of people turning to look at her!).

Anyhow great film. 8/10:T

Bit of an odd question, but I'm hoping someone here can help -

Showcase have changed the way their Insider club works - you have to print tickets off before hand now.
Does that mean that you can pick-up tickets before the day of the screening? Or do u still just turn up on the day and hand over your printout to the box office? Any ideas?

Just come back from the European Premiere of Fool's Gold at Vue West End. And of course I suddenly found myself next to Matthew McConaughey on the red (actually blue) carpet with only my mobile phone camera to hand! He was wearing a beige suit and signing autographs. We made our way inside where we found that we had great seats, and there was a water bottle and some Lindt chocolates at every seat, but no popcorn, so had to buy that. The huge screen was hooked up to an outside camera, so we could see what was going on. Matthew was making the rounds, then Kate Hudson arrived (she was wearing a green gown), and started making the rounds too, signing autographs, posing for pictures and talking to people. The film was quite predictable of course but really good fun and had a lot of action/adventure stuff in it, so I give it an 8/10. Ray Winstone's American accent was fab!

Thanks!

Hi,
on the SeeFilmFirst ticket it says:

Please bring suitable identification with you
No entry once film has commenced. No persons will be admitted under the age of the certificate specified. No Smoking. In the event of a dispute the cinema manager's decision is final. Visit www.seefilmfirst.com (http://www.seefilmfirst.com) for full terms and conditions.

It always appears to be at the staff discretion over allowing latecomers...maybe they'd been getting complaints about the disruption?
The 30 mins thing has always been there as a recommendation, doors open 6pm and film starts at 6:30pm. I think people do get there early for the busy locations. :)

I think this time thing is all to suit the cinema's i turned up at 6.28 for one screening and the usher told me if i had been late i wouldn't have been allowed into the film yet another screening which i went to about 12 people traipsed in 15 minutes late, i think they should have one rule across the board

Hi, as a bit of a newbie to free cinema viewings (first one was 27 dresses). Is it likely that there will be more cinemas with free screenings for a big blockbuster such as Iron Man?

There are supposed to be screenings run by Facebook but so far I've only been told that they have arranged a bigger venue. It is invite only and I imagine a lot of people have requested an invitation.

Hi the only thing I can think of is entering the Renault Preview club draw each month and apparently you get a couple of tickets to use any time on any film. According to the See Film First FAQs:

Why is this film not showing in my area?
It is the film company's decision as to where special previews are held and beyond our control. Usually films will be previewed in areas where the film will be playing once it has opened.

As some of you will be aware SFF have appointed some Ambassadors throughout the UK to evaluate various aspects of the free screenings for them.

however because some Ambassadors have been posting the codes on UK Hot Deals and this site it's lead to problems ie there are probably on 2 tickets per Ambaddador Code, hence I receivced the following e-mail this morning:-

Please can i ask fellow Ambassadors not to post Ambassador codes on this or any other site? Please pass word on to UKHD etc too? Many thanks

Dear Ambassador,

Imp or tant note: Please do not post the Ambassad or code on free internet sites such as UKhotDeals. Only a handful of tickets are allocated to the Ambassad or code, just enough f or the AMB’s in each region. If you post a code on the net you will be preventing ambassador’s like yourselves from getting tickets to the screening and wasting the time of those reading the post as the vast maj or ity will not get tickets.

Please note that if codes continue to be posted on the net, we will deselect all currently Ambassad or s and chose new ones in each area.

Hi Beate,
Were you really close to him ?
I always thought he looked nice - without being 'pretty', but recently heard that he is a great believer in going "au natural" i.e. not washing often, and never using deoderant etc.
Seems a strange sort of thing for the paparazzi to sort of make up, so wondered if it could be true?

I don't like a man to be TOO perfumed you understand, but really bad BO I find really hard to stomach.
If it is true, glad I am not young or pretty enough to have do do love scenes with him.....well that's my excuse anyway :p

Of course we would need to KNOW first that someone is posting an ambassador code. I don't know any ambassadors, and if anyone posts a code without saying it's an ambassador code, I will think it's ok to use, so we will have to rely on the ambassadors adhering to the rules. Personally, I have never understood what all the fuss about ambassadors is about, if you check frequently, you can always get tickets to screenings without getting special treatment.

It definitely wasn't cancelled at West India Quay - and I loved it! Yes, Poppy is kind of annoying but she also has a big heart and I just grew very fond of her and how she handled life and helped that little kid. She tried to help that driving instructor as well, bless her, but you can't help them all. 8/10 from me!

I feel like I have just wasted 2 hours of my life, some people did leave after about 40 minutes, God, I wish I'd followed suit.

I can only give this 1/10

I thought it was great! I think it helps if you've had a friend similar Poppy and you already know that they aren't as annoying as they first seem and have a heart of gold. I did think the flamenco teacher was going to pop a blood vessel in her neck. It could've gone on longer and I wouldn't have minded and I thought the driving instructor put on a great perfomance (but has put me off learning to drive for a while!) Fabulous like Poppy 9.5/10!! :T

Poppy grew on me, with her constant smile she reminded me of Hayley Mills always being 'glad' in Pollyanna. One of life's happy people who brighten up life. Thought the scene with the children in school was very well done. I wish Poppy had been my teacher as her class seemed really fun.

Other half, however found her annoying. Two people walked out of the film about two thirds of the way through and sensed he would have liked to go with them. He says it is the worst film he has ever seen!

I would give it 7/10. If you want my OH score sadly only 0.5/10!!

Guess you either like it or hate it!

Also saw Happy Go Lucky at West India Quay, quite well attended, but not overly packed.

I thought it started off quite slow, think I had low expectations because I hadn't seen a trailer or really heard about this film, so I wasn't excited to see it.

I'll tell you what really got me laughing was the introduction of the driving instructor -that was so my driving instructor! Although I would like to stress that the similarity was only from the teaching style and manner in the beginning - the way he was explaining how to drive, and be safe, I was in stitches - are most driving instructors like that?

I agree with elski5, I think you might be able to relate or understand (or tolerate in some cases) Poppy more if you have a friend like that, she was a bit off the wall, but she had a good heart and only wanted to help people - that made me like her in the end. Beginning it was a 4/10 but by the end I think it was an enjoyable 7.5/10.

... It could've gone on longer and I wouldn't have minded and I thought the driving instructor put on a great perfomance (but has put me of learning to drive for a while!) Fabulous like Poppy 9.5/10!! :T

Just seen Happy Go Lucky at Sheffield.
I enjoyed the film.
I found Poppy's enthusiasm for life infectious.
A snap shot of a single 30 year old eccentric living in London.
Nice to see something a little different and British.

was it only wandsworth that was cancelled? as they were ready to show it and headoffice rang them at the last minute to cancel:mad:

I was there too and was told Wednesday. Must be right, because they're doing In Bruges on Tuesday with seefilmfirst and I can't see them doing two previews on one night.

I have seen that happen in the past! There are some cinemas that run exclusive screenings of Happy-Go-Lucky on Wednesday, followed by a live link to a Q&A Session with Mike Leigh at the Ritzy, Brixton (I have seen competitions for it), but those are different cinemas I thought and not Cineworlds. However, the Cineworld Unlimited April issue, which I picked up today, DOES mention exclusive advance screenings (without the Q&As) at the cinemas that screened (or should have screened) it today. The issue isn't clear about the date, but follows with this sentence: It will also be screened in Fulham Road and Cambridge that evening. Check at box office for further details. Now everything's as clear as mud... Oh and a small Film Times leaflet I picked up mentions advance showings of Three and Out on 24 April and Forgetting Sarah Marshall on 23 and 24 April, though does not give any further details.

I saw "Happy go lucky" yesterday. My OH liked it but I just wanted to leave with the other people that left half way through. I like other Mike Leigh films but this was not for me. I found Poppy and her friends very irritating and I cannot imagine how anybody ever would give her a job in an interview (although she was quite good at her work as it happens).

All in all 2/10 for me and 7/10 for my OH.

I hope your mum is liberal minded, this film has a lot of sexual content in....Russell Brand shaking his hips in a sexual manner at everything that does and doesn't move, ie. man, woman, chess pieces. there also a lot of talk about sex ie i wanna put my p in your v and full frontal male nudity.

Went to see Happy Go Lucky last night. After seeing the trailer OH refused to go (probably a good thing as he would have hated it!) so took a friend instead. We both really enjoyed it, I found it very funny at bits and thought provoking at others. There were some bits that didn't quite seem to fit... don't want to say here in case of spoliers for anyone who hasn't seen it... but overall I thought it was great would give it 9/10. The ladies beside me who talked throughout it wouldn't agree- I heard them say at the end what they thought of it and it wasn't positive!

I thought it took a while to get going but I and the friend with me enjoyed it. It's a quirky, gentle Brit movie. However the whole audience laughed out loud about five times at the funny bits, so quite entertaining. I'd say it's not one for the blokes but there were quite a few in the audience and they did much of the laughing - perhaps the free tickets had put them in a good mood!?:)

As I finished posting my last post here just before 6pm I got an email from Time Out telling me that I won two tickets for In Bruges for tonight at 6:30!!!

Rush rush rush, dropped what I was doing, called my DH and we met in the Greenwich Odeon, where there were a total of two more people for the screening (another 4 came in later).

Apparently Time Out just emailed the winners of the tickets at the last minute, goodness knows why.

Both DH and I loved the film, even if violent and sad, the funny bits were soooo funny and the un-pc-ness was truly refreshing.

Saw Flashbacks of a Fool, last night at the Coventry Showcase, via showcase insider offer. It was quite an interesting film, and the male leads are excellent, but it has a strong sexual content, and at the screening I was at I definately saw a women bring in a child who could have been no older than 10, (it is a certificate 15) film was totallly inappropriate for a child. I was glad I got the tickets for nothing as not sure it was truly a strong enough film to spend your hard earned cash on. Overall 6/10, and the nostalgia of the 70's was well captured.

It was definitely working as I got tickets earlier. I did have to use mine and my hubby's email as it would only allow you to request 2 at a time. I tried to get my sister some five minutes later and it said it was full so I presume as it said there was only a set number of tickets available they had all gone.

That screening would coincide with one you could get tickets for via a competition from Lovefilm, in the following cinemas:

Screenings take place at 25 cinemas around the country on the evening of Wednesday 16th April.
The screenings will be followed by a Q&A with Mike Leigh that will be broadcast live via satellite from the Ritzy cinema in Brixton.
- Ritzy Brixton
- Picturehouse Greenwich
- Picturehouse Clapham
- Everyman Hampstead
- FACT Liverpool
- Duke of Yorks Brighton
- Southampton
- Cameo Edinburgh
- Belmont Aberdeen
- Picturehouse Exeter
- Little Theatre Bath
- Picturehouse Stratford Upon Avon
- Phoenix Oxford
- Regal Henley
- Picturehouse York
- Picturehouse Norwich
- Cineworld Birmingham
- Cineworld Didsbury
- Cineworld Milton Keynes
- Cineworld Nottingham
- Cineworld Sheffield
- Cineworld Glasgow Renfrew St
- Cineworld Ashford
- Cineworld Cheltenham
- Cineworld Chichester
- Cineworld Stevenage

So maybe if they are showing it at the Cineworld Wandsworth tonight too, they might broadcast the Q&A with Mike Leigh as well, you never know!

Hi just got back from Flashbacks of a Fool, was incredibly surprised to find it only a quarter to a third full and the average age of all of us was probably well over 50 made me feel like I was watching sex scenes sitting next to my gran!! I really enjoyed the fim and quite shocked that it's a 15, they must be getting more lenient. We had a powercut to the screen just before the bit with the little girl happened and some people left while we waited for it to come back on (not sure if they had just slipped out to the loo or just plain didn't like it). Overall pretty good, couldn't help thinking of Boyd from Neighbours whenever the young Joe was on:o 8/10

I want two hours of my life back. What a dull, uninteresting film. Not even Daniel Craigs body could make up for that. I wanted to leave after 45 mins, and in fact, quite a few in the already only 25% full audience did. The film got a bit better after the first hour, but only marginally. I know what the film tried to show, but it was just not very well done and the characters were so one-dimensional that I simply couldn't care for them very much. And I had some noisy idiots to the left of me who talked throughout the entire film while periodically delving very noisily into their popcorn bags.

Saw this tonight with only about 30 other people - have freebies gone out of fashion or something lol.
I liked this film a lot, even though it was slow in parts. Cracking acting by all the actors including Daniel Craig, a story well worth telling and remembering, wonderful 70s period feel/music and beautifully shot. And of course the fabulous DC bod, starting with the soft focus porn scenes right at the beginning. I'm a bit surprised it was a 15 too - not for the nudity but some of the chat about drugs and the strong language.
And, if the two boys were doing what I think they were doing in the ghost train area, why were they doing it there? :rotfl:

Went to see this in Cardiff tonight thought it was the most uninspiring and boring film i've seen for a while, seemed to be just a showcase for Daniel Craig to prove that he is actually a real actor. The only decent bit in it was when Keeley Hawes turned up and i think that was to add the comedy factor. A couple of people walked out of our screening as well they probably paid to see a better film.

Flashbacks of a Fool - I didn't really enjoy it, but the people I was with did. I just found it quite boring and without any point whatsoever. I would not have been happy to have paid to see that. It was a much older crowd than usual at the cinema, there was a couple of really loud ladies at the back and I saw a few people leave when things got a bit 'racy', lol. Anyway only a 4/10 for me, my lowest score for a free film this year.

Hello boarders - This is mainly for BEATE, sorry to hijack the board, but (s)he has no more room for personal messages! Can I join your 104 previews in 2008 club? I've been keeping track of free films so far this year (13), but it would be nice be a member and have a little signature to remind me where I'm up to in the challenge! Ta xx

Cert 15
Struggling musician Peter Bretter (Jason Segel) has spent six years idolizing his girlfriend, television star Sarah Marshall (Kristen Bell). He's the guy left holding her purse in paparazzi photos and accidentally omitted from acceptance award speeches. But his world is rocked when she dumps him and Peter find himself alone. After an unsuccessful bout of womanizing and an on-the-job nervous breakdown, he sees that not having Sarah may just ruin his life.
To clear his head, Peter takes an impulsive trip to Oahu, where he is confronted by his worst nightmare: his ex and her tragically hip new British-rocker boyfriend, Aldous (Russel Brand), are sharing his hotel. But as he torments himself with the reality of Sarah's new life, he finds relief in a flirtation with Rachel (Mila Kunis), a beautiful resort employee whose laid-back approach tempts him to rejoin the world. He also finds relief in several hundred embarrassing, fruity cocktails.
For anyone who has ever had their heart ripped out and cut into a billion pieces comes a hilarious, heartfelt look at relationships. Part romantic comedy, part disaster film, Forgetting Sarah Marshall is the world's first romantic disaster comedy.

hi

I keep an eye on the free cinema ticket codes thread whilst I am at work & usually spot the new codes within a few hours, so I go through to SFF site, and request tickets for any of the London cinemas and they are always all gone :(

i am registered with seefilmfirst, but never get any email notifying me of screenings, so i emailed them the other day, and they confirmed that my details are correct and i will be notified as soon as there are screenings in my area - but i never am.

I am getting really fed up of this, as sometimes, I will go through top the site within an hour of the code being posted and the tickets are still all gone. for example, tried for forgetting sarah marshall (above) and no luck, even tried some cinemas outside london to see if they had tickets, but they say they are all full too!

just wondered if anyone else had the same problem? or whether it was just me?

Thanks :)

Sometimes the codes only allow a certain number of tickets free each day, therefore if you keep trying them especially in the morning they may work

Good Luck

Yup, don't trust SFF to email you - when they do, they've probably sent the same email to nearly everyone!!
The key to getting tickets is being around when a new code is posted. That's why I'd go for email notification, and check my emails regularly.

Hi everyone, this is my first post.

Since joining, I've found the best way of being notified of preview screenings is through the codes thread and not directly from SeeFF. SeeFF usually email you the day after I've received codes already posted on the thread and by that time there are no tickets left.

By using the codes thread (via instant alerts) I've managed to get tickets pretty quickly at my chosen venue, so I just want to say thanks to all those that post them! :T

Sunderland Empire and Boldon Cineworld hardly ever have screenings. there's usually lots at the metrocentre odeon if you're prepared to travel. best keep looking on this site, but another great site for codes is www.fmuk.co.nr (http://www.fmuk.co.nr) you have to sign up though and they do like people to post to stay registered with them. They are a really friendly bunch and it's ok if you don't have any codes to post, they like people who just post to chat about films, life etc

hi,
What you do is you go onto the codes thread and go to 'thread tools' on the green bar at the top of the thread and choose to subscribe to the thread. You then choose instant notification and you'll get emails each time there's a post (including the chat one unfortunately).
It's now possible to subscribe for email alerts from the free film section on FMUK but I think Wolverine might have to explain that one.

:)

:D
For FMUK, you need to go to the Free Films board, then click 'Subscribe forum'
You should then get notified when a new code is posted
Although you only get one, regardless of how many codes are posted, until you visit.
That's good in a few ways: one being that if you got notified for chat (tho it happens much less at FMUK) you wouldn't get loads of emails about the chat, and if you visited, say, a few hours after the email was sent, then chances are there actually is a new code. ;)

that's the same as the codes thread here, you won't get any other emails unless you have visited the codes thread after the first email...but the thing is you have to be quick and come to MSE for each email that arrives then when you do, you get an alert for practically every bit of chat.

Just back from Wimbledon and was pleased to see a good turn out - shame about the late arrivals though especially the ones that disturbed everyone at the back trying to get into seats that just weren't there!!!

Any way back to the film -pleasantly surprised. In the first ten minutes or so I did think that "Peter" would begin to grate on my nerves for being such a wimp but quickly found myself really liking his character. Nice to see that Russell Brand can do the whole supporting role bit by not over domineering the scenes. Lots of LOL moments - my favourite being the jump from the cliff!! Some of the language was abit near the mark but they just about got away with it!!!

Would definitely rate this an 8.5 out of 10.

Got back from Sheffield's Forgetting Sarah Marshall tonight.

Agree with the comments about the film being very funny but VERY annoying having to get up each time a latecomer wants to sit in a seat past you on your row whilst trying to watch the film. I think its doesnt make sense to say "no entry once film has commenced" on the ticket if that policy isn't enforced.

When I fill in the feedback forms for SFF, at the any other comments section, I make the suggestion that latecomers should be allowed in all at the same time - 10 minutes into the film and thats it. If people knew they would be refused entry after that time they would make more of an effort to be on time (although I do realise travel delays can happen) and also that they would miss 10 minutes of the film automatically. I also think some people dont mind turning up late because they havent actually paid for their ticket.

Husband and I went to see Forgetting Sarah Marshall at Odeon Southend tonight - rating 10/10 !!
The cinema was only about half full. Got trailers this time, whereas we don't normally. Also, someone stood up at the beginning and asked us to recommend to 10 friends/family if we like the film and to send feedback to Seefilmfirst - never had that before!!
Anyway, film was great, appeals strongly to my husband's sense of humour. Mine too as it wasn't really gross-out comedy!

I attended the Sheffield screeing too and there were a lot of latecomers, probably because the film started 5 minutes early rather than the normal 5 minutes late. I do wish they would stick to their policy as we had to get up twice after the film started and the stupid attendant even got two people on our row to move so that two latecomers could sit together. Its not that difficult to get there five/ten minutes before the film starts.

Hi,

I would really like to see what happens in Vegas in Southampton, but wasn't quick enough to get tickets yesterday - if anyone did and now realise they can't go, would you be kind enough to PM.

Thank you

Yeah I agree some of the fault was on the cinema for starting the film early I thought they were about to play trailers when the lights went down at 6.25pm but they started the film and some of the 'latecomers' were in dead on 6:30pm. Just shows that if a film looks to be popular, it's an idea to make sure to turn up early.

I enjoyed the film, pretty funny. 7.5/10.

Hi there

If someone has spare tickets for Persepolis in EDINBURGH - I would love the get them :j .

In the meanwhile I'll be checking seefilmfirst all day in case there are some available again.

What I'm a bit confused with, is that the film is also showing for paying tickets it seems... but if I could avoid paying £7

Thank you!!!

Gosh, anyone who didn't like Forgetting Sarah Marshall ???
I didn't like the trailer so did not bother getting tickets... now I'm starting to regret :p

Perhaps there is something wrong with me... it seems I am the only person not raving about FSM, found most of the jokes too obvious/ in your face, found much of it overacted (and yes that is often the point in these kind of movies, but it began to grate on my nerves) thought the plot was all over the place, the characters had no chemistry, the whole thing was too long and rather repetetive... strange as I really enjoyed Knocked Up. I didn't hate FSM just didn't like it that much, there were some bits I laughed at but I'm afraid I have to give it 5/10.

Before you read this, I'd just like to say, please, please, please do not follow this post with any chat. Don't tell us you've got tickets, don't tell us if it's sold out, don't tell us if you want tickets and couldn't get them, don't say thanks to me (though feel free to push the thanks button!). I'm not trying to moan but if this continues to happen people will stop posting codes here.

oh, that's a good idea - what if people who post code put some kind of small text like that at the front (with link to discussion board).

if someone start doing it, then it would be just a matter of copy/past from another post to save time...

and less people chatting, and then less people telling them off, and then less people saying the stop moaning :rotfl:

can't say it will work 100%, but it's worth a try... ??

just my tuppence...

Forgetting Sarah Marshall - cinema was quite full, I'm noticing there are a lot more people at these previews than there were 6 months ago. We were in a fairly large screen this time which tends to be more comfortable than the dingy small ones.

I'd give the film 7.5 out of 10 - I thought it was good, really funny in bits, not so much in others. The Russell Brand character made me laugh, I found the main character quite annoying in the beginning and by the end he was ok - I think that's where I feel the film was a bit weak - I didn't really care for the main character. However still a good film, enjoyable and I'd recommend it.

they already have a swaps thread over at FMUK so they don't really have a problem with people chatting on the codes threads, plus they often have the codes there first and the mods are really good at keeping an eye on things and nipping problems in the bud, generally it's just better all round

I liked Persepolis too - (even with paying £7, and not even having trailers  )

cinema (edinburgh) was 1/2 full only though
which makes me wonder if there really were any tickets at all available in the first place for edinburgh on seefilmfirst....
or there must have been really just a few.

lol, it seems 4 out of 5 times I log in to check the main codes thread that people have just posted annoying replies without any useful codes. Is there no way to setup some sort of 3 strikes and your out system (on an individual thread basis) for this to ensure people respect the wishes of the thread creator?

I have also won two tickets to a preview of Iron Man at the Vue at the O2.

However, as I live in Barnsley, I cant go. So, if anyone would like this prize (one of you will have to be a woman to pretend to be me, plus no guarantees of entry if they ask you for i.d.) then the first person to pm me will get the details.

Edit - these are now gone. Thanks for all the pm's

Hello,

Would anyone have any tickets for any movie that would go unused for London? Inflation and high food prices are really making life difficult, and I would really like to take my kids to something as they have been working very hard at school recently :T.

Thank you!

Hi

This is relevant for people in the North East.

In case anyone else is as confused as me  , I have contacted SFF re the Newcastle upon Tyne preview for What happens in Vegas (thanks for the code destresserai).

Basically, the cinema and address for the screening is shown as a Vue cinema on New Bridge Street. AFAIK, we don't have a Vue in Newcastle upon Tyne and there hasn't been a cinema on New Bridge Street for many years.

I have asked SFF to clarify whether there is a preview for this film in Newcastle upon Tyne and, if so, where it will be shown. I am wondering if the screening should have been listed for Newcastle under Lyme (I believe they have a Vue).

I will email them also but if you do hear from them please can you let me know.

Many, many thanks destresseri for the new code.
I haven't been able to get any tickets for months. My cinema just hasn't been listed for ages.
I was seriously beginning to think that my Vue and Odeon had decided to opt out of doing these free screenings.
I have entered all the competitions etc, but not had any luck there either.
Did want to get tickets for Iron man, and also would like to take ds to see new Indie film, but I am grateful for anything.;)
Anyway, many thanks again :T
