This is not an entirely free offer. They do give you a small amount for free when you sign up, but, you can't withdraw this freebie unless you put some of your own money in to fund your account.

Quoted from the Terms

You cannot withdraw your promotional balance unless you've funded your account, and if you abandon your account we'll take back the balance after a month or so, so that someone else can have a go. If you do fund your account you'll be adding to the gram you already own and it will be permanently yours.

But I'm a complete n00b when it comes to the stock exchange - if thats what this even is? Shows how much I know!! But it says you can't withdraw until you have say atleast £20. Say I have £10, does it mean you can pay in £10 and then withdraw £20 ??

Ahh... I have found a catch. "When you withdraw your money the cost of wiring funds direct to your bank is deducted from the amount withdrawn.

The charge is $30 or approximate foreign currency equivalent."

So if you add £10 to your account and withdraw £20 this would be about $36. You would only get $6 back = £3.30

Bummer. Unless the wonderful world of bullion trading takes your fancy.
