Renault Kangoo Mpv??

Anyone got any feedback/info on these? :hello:
Any notable problems to look out for?
My old Renault Extra van has given admirable service but is in need of retirement...

Looking for Kangoo 1.4 Petrol in the midlands...

Anyone seen anything about? :confused:

Yes I do check Auto Trader every week. Been to see one, not up to much, with a crumpled roof - dunno how that happened!

If you like the Kangoo, have you looked at the Berlingo?

I test drove all the alternatives and went for the Berlingo as it has less of a "van" feel than the Kangoo, and was quite a lot cheaper. Citroen have always got good deals available. If you are looking second hand, there will be more choice as there are far more Berlingos than Kangoos on the road.

I've had mine over 3 years now and am delighted with it. When I change it, I will go for the 2.0 HDi, which wasn't available when I got my 1.9D.

Thx, yep looked at Berlingo. The Kangoo has familiarity for me, and a load bearing bumper, and sliding doors... I don't mind the van feel at all, I'm well used to it having had my Renault Extra van for about 4 years. Looked at many small vans at the time, but felt instantly at home sitting in the Extra for the first time, very comfy for me. Kangoo just the same when I got in one last week.

Have considered the others, Fiat Doblo, etc. too, but I'm sticking with the cheeky faced Kangoo! :)

Generally there aren't that many petrols around of these van derived cars - most people bought them as practical cars and this usually meant diesel. Might find a few more if your were willing to consider a diesel instead

Yeh, I know...I'm thinking about it, but with diesel going up so much in price and the 1.4 coming into the cheaper tax bracket, and it will still get 45mpg for the petrol engine, as well as easier/cheaper to work on, and cleaner in the environment - I thought I'd go for petrol this time, as an option is there. If...I can find one!

My old van has been great, 1.6 diesel and has done upto 60mpg, so the maths on fuel consumption against fuel price needs looking at...

I had a diesel Fiesta way back (end of 80's) when diesel cars were a novelty, and then diesel was significantly cheaper than petrol.
