Hi everyone,
I am heading to the French Grand Prix this year. I fly into Paris and then need to go to Nevers by train. Does anyone have any advice/codes etc on how to travel cheaply by train in France? Is it advisable to book online?
If you book in advance online you can get cheaper fares, much the same as here. For Paris - Nevers the cheapest is £13.50 each way. The regular fare is £24 each way - maybe more on a fast train. Don't know how far ahead they come out
The booking interface is a bit arcane - but works eventually.

.
is the place to go.(dont forget quidco)Cheapest fares should be released exactly 3 months in advance,at least they were with the THALYS train.
I booked at 1 am friday morning and just managed to get the last 2 £26 Brussels-Amsterdam smilys fares for the weekend we need.
We have 2 free eurostar tickets St Pancras-Brussels as a result of taking part in the track testing in december, then onto Amsterdam for our 2 nights in the Hilton courtesy of Tesco clubcard.Only other expence is a night in Brussels before returning, but that is quite a cheap city to stay in.
