If you are using places like Charlie Brown's for tyres get a quote online here before you go:
http://www.tyreplus.co.uk/tyres-search.asp which will be valid for 7 days. It will be honoured by your local branch and gives you a lower price than if you just turn up at the garage. Also covers some other tyre replacement firms.
