Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule (http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=1009335#post1009335)) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com (abuse@moneysavingexpert.com).

Its a bit pricier to begin with but I strongly recommens asny of the LUSH solid shampoo bars. Mine last 4 - 5 months using it every day. Not bad for about £5. Plus my hair looks greeat AND I don't feel so guilty about landfill (no plastic bottles going in the bin). Look on their website, but don't blame me if you get hooked!

what about almost anything from the Poundland shops?

I'm currently using Simple Shampoo; it's very good, no colour and no fragrance and only £1!!

I have in the past mixed and matched shampoo, I've a big supermarket own brand bottle and used that for a few washes and then used a 'better' named one for a couple of washes.
I now buy Tresemm!, I get the 900ml bottles, I stock up when they are on BOGOF in either Boots or Superdug and I find that even with me and DD using it, it lasts for ages. You don't need much and my hair seems to be in good condition and i don't use a conditioner and only give it one wash.

I buy an Australian brand called Fruits (when I can get it from the supermarket) a large shampoo costs 99p as does the conditioner. I swear by it, cheap, organic and fruity.

I use the pink L'Oreal Elvive- I always buy it when it's on BOGOF so it works out quite cheap (about £2 for two), but nothing else seems to leave my hair so shiny (even much more expensive shampoos).
