Hiya
I read the petrol page at the top of the page, but does anyone know of any loyalty cards or schemes
we live in the !!! end of nowhere, and need a car, but the petrol here is over 105 a litter!
we cut down only do essential trips and all that
we only have BP, jet and tesco
we use the tesco as this is the cheapest and at the mo has the 5p off voucher
I cant get one of the credit cards that do cash back as my credit rating wouldn't allow it:o
is there any other way to save:confused:

it is a shame u dont have a morrisons near u, as they do a card called morrisons miles, where for every litre of petrol they give u a point, until u have collected enough points, they then give you a £5 voucher to spend in the main store, even better at the moment until the end of febuary it is double points, i dont know off any other petrol loyalty cards, but there are probably more out there, and somebody more knoledgeable will be along to advise you, HTH Dave.
As far as I know BP/Jet have no form of loyalty card
I take it you have a tesco clubcard?

Hiya
Yes have a club card and have just applied for a credit club card (doubt i will not be excepted though:o ) I find the tesco rewards the best out of all the supermarkets, so i was glad when we moved that tesco was the local supermarket!:T
where we used to live we had all of the supermarkets (major and less major!) within 10 minutes!
here if you dont like tesco you have a 50mile round trip!:D
I agree Morrison is brill for the petrol voucher, that is where we used to buy all our petrol:rolleyes2

BP used to give Nectar points at one time.

BP give out Nectar points. Tesco give out Tesco Clubcard points (obviously). There's no reward programme at Jet.
Given that, the only way to keep fuel costs low is to simply buy the cheapest fuel. As you're doing just essential trips, it's unlikely that the Nectar or Clubcard programmes will be of significant benefit, and certainly not worth paying more for.
Consider changing to LPG. petrolprices.com will tell you some of the LPG prices near you, but if they don't say any, it doesn't mean there isn't any, they only list the ones where a fuel card was last used, and the price at that time.
use this to find some more http://www.lpgmap.co.uk/map.php
Again it is not very accurate, some it misses, some it has are no longer selling.

I have a toyota lucida with a diesel engine. This runs on vegetable oil. Pura costs 56p per litre and you are able to use up to 2500 litres per year before needing to pay fuel duty.
No good for petrol engines but may be of interest for future car buying or those who have old diesel motors.
