I do quite a lot of these - generally the deal is that you do a test drive of a car and get £10 or £15 worth of M&S vouchers or similar. Anyway the current one is for a test drive of a Renault Megane before the end of August. You may need to check the offer at the website but the address is:

It's well worth signing up to the main car makers mailing lists to get these offers incidentally, provided you don't mind junk mail.

I got it in a mailshot but it wasn't personalised. Usually these are automatic offers, but you can always ring and ask.

No it didn't. Just a mailshot, and there's no 'affiliate' ID on the web address either. I'd be fairly sure it's a completely open offer - they usually are.

I got a leaflet through the door today asking me to take a Renault test drive. In return I get £15 of M&S vouchers. There doesn't seem to be a catch other than asked if I would agree to being sent stuff about future promotions. It's nationwide and the number to call is 0800 089 0026 or www.drive.renault.co.uk. The offer is on until the end of August.

Thanks Merroney, I've just called and arranged my test drive at Bridges in Reading on the 2nd August and that dealership is participating in the £15 M&S Voucher. You just have to take your driving licence and get the test drive confirmed by the dealer. I'm going to test drive the Clio Renaultsport 182 :j

No it doesn't say anything about it online so I phoned and confirmed the promotion first. He said he wouldn't know until the end whether or not your nearest dealer was doing the promotion or not. :D

Be careful with this one, I test drove a car at Bridges in Reading on Sun and they didnt have a clue about the offer and I didnt get a vouchure, luckily we are buying a new car anyway so it made no difference, but just incase you are going purely for the money make sure they are aware of the offer.

Ah then maybe thats it, the individual garages and Renault dont seem to communicate very well. When we arrived the guys didnt even have a clue that we had booked, but they said that was always the case!

Test drove a Clio today at Renault,Colindale, near an Asda where I was going to shop in anycase. As soon as I met the salesman he asked me how I booked the Test Drive. When I told him I booked on the internet he immediately enquired if I booked for the "The summertime" promotion because he would have to find me on the computer and tick me in as turning up otherwise I would not get the vouchers through the post! He went on to say that loads of people have booked for test drives with no interest in Renault cars and asked if I was really looking to buy - of course I was!!!!!!!!!! only after a half hour chat about the different models, colour options and a quick whizz around the block was I able to escape. I wpuld be interested to know if folk are getting their vouchers.

I went for my test drive recently. Had to feign great interest in the Clio. It was a nice car mind you and the sales assistant was quite persuasive but I managed to get away without committing myself! When you book, you get an email from Renault to confirm the booking and if you reply to that asking about the vouchers they send you an email back saying you will receive them within 4 weeks of the test drive, but the test drive centre does have to enter you on its system for this to happen so it's worth checking that your centre does do this. Can't wait to receive the vouchers!

Renault are offering £15 free M and S vouchers if you test drive a Renault this summer BUT and here's the good bit - having booked my appointment online I got a call from the dealership askinghow serious I was. The guy said that because so many people are asking for appointments, if I wasn't actually intending to buy, they wer happy just to put the vouchers in the post!!!!

This may just be locally (Leeds) but worth a try!

I received my vouchers last week. This was despite Renault having completely cocked up the appointments - sent to the wrong garage and the dates were all wrong.

Mine arrived yesterday! Yippee! And I think it only took a couple of weeks, not the 4 weeks they initially said. Thank you Renault!

E-mail them or write with details of the appointment - they'll eventually stump up the vouchers. Happened to me on a previous Renault test drive (modus) when the prize was Argos vouchers.

Maybe it's me, but I seriously get the feeling that customer service in most organisations is going from bad to terrible. I always find this ironic given the £10's million big companies are spending on "Customer Relationship Management" computer systems !! Perhaps I'm just having a bad day...???!!! (End of whinge!!)

Test drove Clio 5 weeks ago, telephoned Customer Services twice as not received vouchers. Advised there is a big backlog........still waiting!

Turned up for pre-booked test drive on 5th August to find dealer knew nothing about it (booked on web site) and didn't have any cars available for test drive. They promised to enter me on their system so I would get the vouchers anyway. Waited 7 weeks before calling Customer Service on 23rd September to be told the offer had been massively over subscribed (courtesy MSE??) and they were working on the backlog. They took my details and said they would fast track me. Vouchers were delivered yesterday 26th September. If anyone is still waiting, phone Customer Service as it seems to work.
