My DS(3) has recently been diagnosed with this condition. It is a really rare condition and as it is a symptom of possible other developemental problems he was refered to the CDC to be assessed. The consultant he saw did not believe he had other problems however she admitted that she hadn't even heard of the condition never mind know anything about it. On one hand i'm over the moon that she doesn't think he has other problems but i'm concerned quite frankly that she doesn't know what she is talking about because of it.

He see's a physio now to help with balance and coordination problems (which i have been concerned about for the last 2 years but was told i was being neurotic!!) and is waiting to see the speech thrapist as a matter of routine due to the referal to the CDC. (He has a mild stammer for the last 1 year, again told i was being over concerned by the health visitor). I am also concerned he may have dyslexia (dyslexia in both sides of the family) but again told i was worrying to much and he was only 3 1/2.

My questions s do i have reason to be concerned or am i over reacting as a neurotic single mum!!!
