car cutting out

hi,

wondering if anyne can offer any advice beofre i take my car to a garage.

i have a x reg astra 1.4 it starts fine but after a few mins it loses power and when i brake i cuts out. it will start again but happen again fairly quickly. the first light to come on is an orange rectangle with a star in it.

any advice greatly appreciaited.

Probably the EGR valve - not something you can sort yourself, though.
Expect an hour or so labour & the part, £80ish if I'm not mistaken. So £150ish bill in the end?
