I have had to start wearing lightly padded bras because of sticking out nipples . .:o
I just cant seem to get a bra washed without the padding puckering. Today I just lightly soaked them in warm water in the sink allowing them to drip dry with no wringing. Even though they are good quality M&S all but 2 in 8 have got dents or wrinkles in.
Please can anyone give me advice as this is starting to be expensive. If I wear them with dents you can see it through my tops.
Failing that how can I go back to lacey cups without it looking like im smuggling peanuts ?
Im bracing myself for the inevitable comments but this is a serious question :p
I don't know about the washing bit, but you could try nursing pads in your normal bras. You can either buy disposable or easy-wash little pads that you use when you are breastfeeding: they are useful if your nipples leak a little bit, so should cover your nipples.

Hi, i always wash my bras in the washing machine on those net things-i know ideally handwashing is better but i am lazy! When i get them out of the machine, i reshape them to make sure theres no lumps/bumps in them!
Warning-dont do a hot wash, i only use a lowheat as im sure being too hot will possibly shrink them or ruin them somehow!

Hi Tadpole I know what you mean about the puckering and wrinkling. I bought two padded bras from M & S (value range) and I put them on a really cool wash. They ended up puckering and wrinkling like you describe. I've only worn them a couple of times too.
I went and bought some really good quality bras from La Senza and one is moulded, the other is a gel bra. They are really comfortable, I put them on the hand wash cycle in washing machine and have no puckering or wrinkling. You might want to consider a different type of bra like I describe as you won't have nipples showing and you won't get that wrinkly look either.

Kleeneze catalogue do a couple of products specifically designed to put bras in for the washing machine: http://www.main-book.co.uk/
There's a plastic bra washing ball (£5) which it says is 'ideal for padded bras', and a floral fabric bra washing bag (£4).
Also BHS I think do nipple covers to put inside your bra.

I`ve ruined 2 of my best bras because i washed them in machine without a net bag thing.A wire has come out on both of them.
Has anyone any idea how to keep the wire back in, i`m having a devil of a job trying to do it?
thanks

Thanks all :) Nursing pads might be a way to use my lacey bras up, I will check them out. That website with the bra balls has some good products on it. I will order one and give it a whirl. I will try everyones suggestions.Thankyou.
As someone else has had trouble with the same M&S bras it might be worth trying to take them back as this is their first wash.

I'm too lazy to do anything other than chuck mine in the machine. I have the same problem with the foam-style padding. I wear them due to sticking out nipples and, er, no tits :D

I usually bung mine in the machine inside a pillowcase when I wash our bedlinen! They do wrinkle a bit (Triumph bras-they fit me better than any other) but re-shaping whilst damp usually gets rid of any lumps bumps and other misshapenness (is that a real word? you know what I mean).
Got decent-sized boobs but don't like nips "leading the way", or otherwise :o   !

How much do they charge for delivery do you know? I'd like another peg carousel and we don't have Kleeneze round anymore.

What you REALLY need is possum fur nipple warmers (http://www.nznature.co.nz/mshop:extpage:1597008952:IT=2254#2254).
Seriously ...
I am not making it up!
This company offers excellent service, even though they are based in NZ.
Although I confess I do not own any nipple warmers ... just silk vests and socks, and one beautiful pair of Big Silk Knickers!

...But they're made of real fur. Despite what it says in the blurb I don't like the idea.

I don't think they do mail order from what I gather from the website. I think you have to buy throught their distributors.
Just found this on Ebay though: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BRA-SAVER-Protect-Your-BRA-with-BRA-WASHING-BALL_W0QQitemZ120127455573QQihZ002QQcategoryZ300QQ rdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem?_trksid=p1638. m118
With the postage it's the same price as the Kleeneze one.

Hand washing is the only way - a lot of stores won't refund bras where the wires come out if you use the washing machine. Once the wire has found a way out, it's out to stay I believe, unless you sew the little gap back up!!

http://www.braballs.com/index.htm This product seems to have fantastic reviews, although it is quite expensive. I'm 32E and they say it is only suitable up to a C cup. Has anyone given it a go?

I have found some success with washing the M&S t-shirt bras, the ones with barely any padding and no wiring. No wodge of foam to buckle in the wash :)
I've successfully repaired an "escaped" wire by sealing the hole with a blob of superglue! Often the hole is too small to stitch properly and the wire breaks through again.

Superglue?!
you could try looking in la senza or online at Bravissimo, i regularly buy from these two places and have never had a problem. x

I saw the exact same product in Spain recently for about 2 Euro. I wish I'd bought one!
If anyone happens to be going to Spain, there is a chain of Chinese shops selling cheap stuff (a bit like Poundland)- I saw it in one of these!
I bought new t-shirt bra's from M&S when they were recently buy one and get the other half price and they were still expensive all in all however I just wanted to say that I have the same problem and wonder if it is a manufacture problem I was actually going to take the one back as the assistant said at the time when I purchased them that once I washed it it would go into shape but it never has.

I'm an M&S bra fitter and all my bras are from there. There padded, and I just chuck them in with the wash and I've never had a problem with them.
