Each day I have small red dots above my eyelids when I get up. Sometimes they go away throughout the day, other times they stay.

Went to a skin specialist shop & they said to exfoliate around my eyes.

I currently use Liz Earle cleanse & polish, use a sensitive face mask about once p/w, keep my bedroom window on the vent to let air in and don't wear make up.

So my question is - is there such a product about to exfoliate around the eyes?

did they explain what the spots were?

Be really careful. My DH used my facial exfoliator on holiday (to get rid of suncream) and rubbed it around his eyes not knowing any different. He spent about 3 days in agony (alas he did this a few different nights, of course I didn't realise that's what he was doing). It was really uncomfortable for him. Unless there's a specialist exfoliator I'd be really wary.

TBH the advice sounds a bit suspect to me and I'd drop by a pharmacy or optician before I took it up...

She suggested they could be heat spots but wasn't too commital.
I've had a look in Mr T (where else?!) but could only find normal exfoliators nothing for around the eyes. Thinking about visiting a herbalist next...?

i was told that the skin around the eyes was really delicate so i'd be very careful about exfoliating there. that's why there are specialist eye creams because normal face moisturiser is too thick and blocks pores? (or something like that!!) could it be a result of a moisturiser you use?

could you go a few beauty counters in a department store and get some other opinions first?
