Hi

I test drove a peugeot 1007 in Feb 07 and noticed that the passenger side door was shutting as soon as it opened preventing the passenger from getting in. I made the dealership aware and they said it was fixed when I went to pick the vehicle up. Since then it has been back to them 3 times as it has trapped 2 people in the door. The dealership has said that whenever they have the vehicle the fault does not occur.I took it to another local dealer and it trapped their technician in the door. They replaced something, but it is still happening. As i usually don't have passengers in the car it can take a few weeks before the fault occurs and it is intermitant. I am at my wits end with it and have contacted Peugeot direct with no help. The electric sliding door hurts an adult, so I dread to think what it would do to a child. I have 5 seperate video's of the fault occuring and don't know what to do now? I am getting nowhere with it.

I would take it back to the local dealer that had their man trapped and tell them to sort it out,

Not sure about this bit but worth a try,, untill you can get it to the garage when the door is opened and before the passenger tries to get in turn the ignition off,it might isolate the power to the door and when they are in restart the car,as I say not sure but worth a try

thanks for that. I have tried the local dealer. They have said that its up to the dealer that I bought it at as they know the history. Its so annoying when I cant have a passenger in a car. Its wrong and I know that theres a fault with it, I have it evidenced on video.

take it back to the dealer you got it from and tell them to fix it or you will kick up a fuss with the local trading standards, papers etc

I have done that. I've been to consumer direct and they advised me to write a letter of complaint. I got a snotty one back. And the sales guy is so patronising its unreal. He told me that they wouldn't have a service centre if things didn't go wrong! I have even emailed watchdog I am that desperate. I have had to apologise to two colleagues for the bruising the door has caused.

In Telford Shropshire. I actually bought the car from a Peugeot dealership in Bilston West Midlands.
