Cheers for this...I wanted a pedometer (which I'm guessing this is like) and they cost around £14, so you've saved me a bundle. Now I'll find out how far I actually run in the morning...

Many weary-footed thanks!

Tankgirl

If you go to the bbc website and look at their fat nation webpages you can order a fact pack which includes a free pedometer (amongst other stuff), the pack costs £3.99, cheapest pedometer i found on ebay was over £10. !I ordered one of these three weeks back and still waiting!!! (although it does state 28 days for delivery)

Ps just noticed in the walkers terms and conditions

11. Winners may be required to take part in publicity arranged by Walkers in connection with this promotion and entrants agree to do so free of charge and that Walkers may use any subsequent publicity materials free from restriction.

Mine !registered 15 steps driving into work this morning ???

All the cheap/free ones will do that. I never used my old one because I didn't trust the reading. My new one filters out random movements - use it all the time and find it very accurate

CBo
11-10-2004, 7:13 PM
Got mine as well. 360 steps from work today :) (i wonder how many of these was the bus)

Monkeyboy
11-10-2004, 7:35 PM

Is the offer now closed?

robnye
11-10-2004, 7:36 PM
i agree the cheap and free ones do need to be taken with a pinch of salt.

but it is great to see so many people, now realising the benefit of some excercise, even if only around the house

i recevied mine this morning - put it on at 11:15

now (4:30) i have taken 1380 steps, allowing for 10% inaccuracy, it amazes me how I can do so much, when not actually doing much.......

I will try it driving to work on wednesday, and see if it does increase whilst driving...... :)

I'm still waiting for my Walkers one, but having lost the Kellogs one I am now wearing a Fat Nation and an old ITV offer (had to pay postage on both but Fat Nation sent me two kits in one envelope!)
Anyway, the Fat Nation one seems to record about 10 times as many steps as the ITV one does ???
