I'm not sure if I am in the early stages of this or not but I have noticed two bald patches at the front of my scalp that I am a little concerned about.

Is there anything that can be done at an early stage to stop this, I know there is not cure but prevention if possible would be a better solution.

Move away from the headboard next time you are in the missionary position.

Nothing can be done. But look on the bright side, over time the number of bald patches will reduce to one (although it may encompass your whole head) :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Jizba, I'm sorry you are getting very little sympathy.

How old are you?

What is happening to you is very common and there is very little you can do about it.

There are some potions and pills that claim to reduce hair loss but they are expensive and there is no guarantee that they will work.

The best solution is to accept it and wear your oncoming baldness with pride.

Sensible men adopt a hair style that suits receding hair and don’t worry about it. Don’t try and hide it with combovers etc as that is just worse.

I am sure the ladies will tell you that many bald men are very attractive.

I'm 34 and I noticed a thinning of my hair about 3 years ago. It's even thinner now. You just have to get over it. Youth is wasted on the young and all that.

I've heard rubbing cows sh1t on your head can help

Are you sure its not the start of alopecia, but if you are going a little thin on top there is nothing what so ever you can do about it.
Try massaging your scalp to stimulate the folicals or the body shop do some sort of shampoo think its called ice blue you would have to go in and have a read see what they claim to do.
Or you could do an Elton John and have hair implanted into your scalp.
Unfortunatly it is heradatory and there claims to be lots of different cures but none that really work.

For a minute I thought this was a new fashion. Male PATTERNED baldness - I had a vision of Right Said Fred with tartan heads.

In my experience I stopped using hair gels and creams, etc as my haird would fall out. I also stopped using fancy shampoos and only use those aimed for children (there fruity, cheap and so mild they don't damage the hair) and this managed to stop most of the fallout. I had long hair when younger and I'm sure the wearing of elastic bands to hold my ponytail (yep, I'm not proud) didn't help either.

And lots of sex helps too as hair loss, I'm led to believe is partly to do with too much testosterone in the system so get happy with the lady - at least it's a good reason to get it on.;)

Vitamin D and Hair Loss. (http://searchwarp.com/swa74115.htm)

It's particularly important that anyone undergoing chemo gets their vitamin d status optimal before this occurs. (don't rely on your doctors to get your vit d right though)
Protection against chemotherapy-induced alopecia. (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez?Db=pubmed&Cmd=ShowDetailView&TermToSearch=16972183&ordinalpos=5&itool=EntrezSystem2.PEntrez.Pubmed.Pubmed_ResultsP anel.Pubmed_RVDocSum)

Once you've lost your hair no amount of vit d will restore it though.

If you are going bald there is honestly very little (if anything) you can do to stop this. SLowing it may happen if you shave your hair simply becuase there is a greatly reduced amount of stress on the folicles.
I'd recommend you embrace your oncoming baldness, why does it have to be a bad thing? My dh is 32 and has no hair at all now on the top of his head. Personally I welcomed his increased baldness as I for one think its really hot!! He used to joke that her thought I was secretly rubbing it off in his sleep! Obviously I wasn't but I did get him to take the scary shaving step. Once he shaved it off he realised how much better he looked and felt much more confident.

Whatever you do, don't try to cover it up, or part hair over it.

Met my wife after going bald, so some women obviously don't care.

There is much that can be done and some is FDA approved.
1st and easy thing is to try Nizoral shampoo or Revita.
Next use 5% minoxidil.
The main decision is - do you go for Propecia (Finasteride) 1mg/day or the better but not yet approved Avodart (Dutasteride) 0.5mg/day although good results have been seen taking 2 caps/week.

Try www.hairlosstalk.com (http://www.hairlosstalk.com) for more info.

Most moneysavers go to www.inhousepharmacy.com (http://www.inhousepharmacy.com) (the USA site) and buy generics.

There are a couple on Fin 5mg Proscar copies that can be split into 5 pieces or use Dutas instead of Avodart.

All the above are genuine and the main drugs to combat MPB. I would not trust anything else at the moment. I 'risked' dutas with great results.

Have you ever used http://www.drugdelivery.ca/s41708-s-AVODART.aspx (http://www.drugdelivery.ca/s41708-s-AVODART.aspx)? They look genuine and are much cheaper, but I'm worried aobut some negative reviews on there. Not sure if I should risk it, or just go with the company you suggested.
